This is the second Essentials book I purchased in the series and I can't rave enough about them. In my management position in one of the top financial industries, I need to understand what is going on but I don't need the technical details so many other books get into. These book provide great coverage on important topics -- they really help be to understand. I heard about and had a slight grasp on the use of ROI and other measures from my work, but I didn't really understand it until I read this book. A must have for any professional--I'm recommending it to my colleagues too!

I am a software developer of cash managment products so I know the stuff from the inside out, but I never had a business view of the area. This explains clearly, quickly, and readably the essentials of field. It explains the business use of all of the products I have built (ACH, Wires, Acct Trx, IR, etc.). Remarkably enough, it was really interesting and a very quick read--2 short evenings. Certainly, a great starter book.

The most excellent book on a market about European Banking Law currently. An indispensible guide to banking law. Easy to read and understand. Fundamentally faultless. I look forward to the new updated edition. Highly reccomended.

I had a class which required it, but i actually kept it after the class was over since it is very helpful for anyone dealing with bonds, stocks, interest rates, mortgages, or loans.

I will say at the start that I do not have much finance experience. I took a few classes in college, but that was the extent. This book covers the basics, such as budgeting, and moves on up to investment plans and strategies. I would recommend this for anyone who is worrying that they're not planning for the future. easy read

Tracy Coenen's previous book, Essentials of Corporate Fraud, provides a great introduction to contemporary fraud issues that is an excellent starting point for people learning about fraud. This book, Expert Fraud Investigation: A Step-by-Step Guide, focuses on the nuts and bolts of investigating alleged, suspected or admitted frauds, providing insights every step of the way. As Tracy shows, it is a sensitive matter that can be a minefield for the inexperienced and unwary.

You get to learn from her experience not only about the immediate issues at hand but also about preparing yourself for what may come next.

Expert Fraud Investigations: A Step-by-Step Guide would be particularly valuable to internal auditors who are called upon to look into potential frauds, managers wanting to understand traps to avoid when launching fraud investigations in their business units, and people developing their career in fraud examination and investigation. Experienced fraud investigators may be familiar with much of the material, but will likely find useful nuggets of information that they can put to good use.

Kudos to Tracy for demystifying the fraud investigation process and helping others learn from her experience.

This is one of the best books on the basics of personal investing I've come across. Clearly written, smart, witty, and to the point.
