Cash Cow Kids
I heard your book featured on the Dr. Laura radio show as the book of the week. I respect her opinion enough to purchase what she recommends as good reading, especially when it comes to what benefits children. I love it! Practical advice and encouraging stories (not to mention cute illustrations/graphics) make this good reading for any parent wanting to be inspired to help thier children get ahead in life.
Thank you!

Change your family's financial future.
This book is a must-read for every parent. It is amazingly easy to read - a surprise since I expected another book full of financial theory with no practical advice. Not this book - the authors have filled this creative book with practical information and tips to help parents educate kids about handling money.
Yet, to me the book's highlights are the real-life success stories in almost every chapter. I have read many of them to my kids and have found them helpful and inspiring to us all.

EXCELLENT BOOK!
This is a well-organized book, full of great zingers, lots of laughs and sage advice. The advice part of the book is more concise and to the point than anything else I've ever seen. It tells you specifics of how to save money to accumulate wealth, get along with people, etc. The kind of things everyone could benefit from. It's the kind of book I'll keep and re-read again and again.

EXCEPTIONAL VALUE
This book lives up to its title. The jokes and riddles are well selected. You'll definitely laugh! The wisdom section is well tied in to the humor section and had a number of unique tips regarding wealth accumulation, money saving and finding a mate. For example, I didn't know what a rebus or aphorism was until I read this book. This is the kind of book I will keep on hand and read again.

A Winning Combination
Congratulations to Mr. Kuder on successfully putting together a book with a fabulous combination of wit and wisdom! The humor is family rated - you can leave it on the coffee table and not worry about the kids reading it. I don't care for books by those who think it must be "dirty" to be funny, and this is a refreshing change of pace. In addition to the humor, Mr. Kuder has provided the reader with a fascinating section on wisdom. His advice is direct and simple, something that any of us can follow. Kudos also to Mr. Ulloa for his delightful art work. Not only for your own library, but a great gift book, too.

Financial Statement Analysis: A Practitioner's Guide

Make sure you get the real book 1st
I ordered this book without getting the first book that goes along with it. Make certain you do, this is just a workbook.

Reads well
This book is for someone that wants an overview style book. It reads as a novel, or loose conversation would be read. Not a textbook style (dry) book.

A Must Read For Investors and Financial Professionals
Dr. Alvarez and Mr. Fridson's book is a MUST READ not only for every finance professional...but for the average investor as well. By the use of real-life examples and fascinating stories, the authors present a compelling behind-the-scenes look at the world of corporate finance, and how financial statements can often deceive. In today's post-Enron world, this book is a must-have for anyone who dabbles in the market, even on a part-time basis.

What I enjoyed most about Financial Statement Analysis-a Practioner's Guide is the tone of the book...rather than your standard dry academic tome, the authors inform us through interesting stories, and speak WITH us rather than AT us. I find their approach extremely effective, given that this is the first finance related book I've ever read that didn't put me to sleep (I actually had a hard time putting it down).

As a financial professional, instructor and investor, I've applied many of the lessons taught in this book, and have begun recommending it to all of my classes, clients and colleagues. As such, I highly recommend it to anyone that is read for an eye-opening look at the world of corporate finance.

SIMPLY THE BEST!
Although this book was written nearly 100 years ago, it is timeless and it remains the very best book on the topic I've ever read--and believe me, I've read many many business books as well as create-your-own-success books! I recommend this to all my business clients, and have used these techniques myself with great success. It's even better than Think and Grow Rich! I'd LOVE to know about the author's life--so please share any info you may have in a review here. Read this book to not only create success for yourself, but make our country better, too!

A little gem
I suspect that this little book has been discovered and rediscovered by every generation since it was written a hundred years ago, and will continue to be rediscovered by every generation for a hundred years to come. It is a little gem. Directing his words purely towards financial success (the book is also published under the title: The Science of Getting Rich), Wallace Wattles teaches lessons that go to the heart of achieving success in any endeavour. But more than this, his words are designed to transform and expand our view of the universe and of life itself. Do not expect any financial advice of the traditional kind from this book. Expect instead an object lesson in the power of thought. Every non-essential ingredient has been pared away to provide for us a succinct and vital summary of required thought and action. The book is short, but that is not to say that it is not repetitious. It is, however, repetitious with a purpose. Wallace Wattles is passionate about instilling his simple principles upon our minds. So every idea is expressed, summarised and then summarised again. He even includes a chapter of test questions at the end so that we might reinforce our own learning. Until I read this book, I had always thought that the expansive and abundant view of the universe had lain dormant until Einstein reopened that level of scientific understanding. This book came before Einstein's theories, and shows that abundance has always been grasped with absolute clarity by a fortunate few. Read this book and re-read it, and you can soon count yourself among that number.

The Guerrilla Guide to Mastering Student Loan Debt: Everything You Should Know About Negotiating the Right Loan for You, Paying It Off, Protecting Your Financial Future

Read this book BEFORE you take out student loans
This book really will not help you if you already have student loan debt. If you do, the advice is simple - hunker down and pay it off. If you have no student loan debt, read this book and reconsider your desire to go into debt for your education. You can get a good education on the "pay as you go" method if you do it right. Take it from someone who made all the wrong choices - don't go into debt for your education!! I don't recommend this book if you already have sutdent loan debt - focus on paying it off. Save the money you'd spend on this book and put it toward your loan payoff.

Student Loan Warning
I have found myself graduated and placed in a law career that I never wanted, thanks to my family's pushing a smart but "too nice" young man into a potentially "lucrative" but intensely stressful and blood-spilling career as a lawyer. Of course the family never paid anything because they are simple lower middle class people who had a dream that their bright young son would become a smashing success. So now I have a $100,000 debt and stuck in a career that I dread (I wanted to be a damn scientist, not a LAWYER). This book is pretty good on telling you exactly how the government can wreck your life with its easy to get student loans, but it doesn't have any hands down cure. It is dated already in that a year after it was published congress took away the 7 year waiting period for a bankruptcy discharge. Now you may NEVER have your educational loans discharged, so they will chase you and harass you and try to reposess your things even when you are old and grey, all for your mistaken career choices made as a youth. For those who are sucked into the student loan system without rich parents to bail them out or pay the bills, there is not much anybody can do for you. This book SHOULD BE READ BY ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE ASSETS and is thinking about taking loans to go to school. READ IT because nobody else is gonna tell you how absolutely crushing this educational debt can be to your dreams. Then you will see that NOBODY in their right mind should get into serious nondischargeable debt for what is at best an uncertain hope that you will maybe be able to get a job and pay it back through continuous work through what should be the prime years of your life. READ THIS BOOK BEFORE YOU SIGN THE PROMISSORY NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!

About as Good as a Student Loan Book Could Get
This book is just fine. I guess the bottom line is you need to make the money to pay the damn things off however. I'd like to see something in a more loompanics sort vein.

Money Drunk, Money Sober: 90 Days To Financial Freedom

Great Philosophy!
For me, this book was more useful to explore my spending habits. When do I spend my money? Why? What are ways to circumvent this spending? In terms of the actual plan to get out of debt, I found it less helpful to me than other books on the market today (Of course, I encourage that you read as many books on this subject as you can check out for free from the library).

The way proposed to get out of debt or at least so you stop living off credit cards is good and sound, built up through a week-by-week program. However, some of the activities I don't believe will benefit all people who pick up and read the book. If you're way in over your head, getting calls from collections and STILL debting, definitely check this one out, but if you're like me and are not yet at that point, just read the first half to get into the psychology of your spending behaviour.

Super Reading!
Lots of terrific info that can help you get out of debt. A change of attitude about money is important. This book is the answer to your money woes!

Thank you!
It's obvious that Mr. Bryan and Ms. Cameron know what they are talking about from page one, and, thank goodness, they have been able to explain (to me) my own lifelong struggle with money handling!!! Now, with insight into the origins of my money dilemma, I have been able to make my money work with my life for the first time! Whew! What a great relief!!! I understand now that this is a learned behavior, and yes, I used money to "fill in the blanks" that I thought I had. Now I realize I really don't have any "blanks", that I'm really quite marvelous in many ways (why haven't I been able to see that till now?)! I just had this painful and debilitating old habit I'm now glad to be rid of for good. So, BRAVO, Cameron and Bryan...and many, many thanks!!!

Doesn't Add Very Much
Its very useful, but then, if you have the other Barron's dictionaries, it does not add a whole lot of extra heft to your business vocabulary. Would be nice to see a little more diversity in the definitions.

Excellent Reference Resource
The "Dictionary of Business Terms" is an excellent reference for business people, educators, and students, alike. While it is relatively small, it provides concise, easy to understand definitions for some 7000 business terms.

Best of all, it can fit quite easily in your pocket. If you are in any way involved in business, this is a must have reference. I would say more, but, hey, it's not like a dictionary has a plot you can comment on.

FINE DESCRIPTIVE DEFINITIONS
Despite its small size, this well-structured dictionary did not stop at defining terms. It gave comprehensive descriptions (and explanations) whenever necessary. Its scope embraced all aspects of business: finance, management, commerce, accounting, and so on.
It is very portable and easy-to-use. Its 7,500 headwords included most terms which users are likely to encounter more often. All the important biz acronyms and jargons were included.
This is one dictionary that I will recommend for both students and business travellers. It is a reliable companion.

Not so good
Glib, over-the-top, self-possessed clap-trap. Better read your daily newspaper than this.

Worth the look
I got this book for my boyfriend who isn't interested in investing issues, but he did pick it up and read it!... I also found myself looking in it and learning a few things. I've ordered a few money matters type books and this is the first one that I've read that isn't geared towards a total moron. It doesn't explain the obvious like "If your credit cards are to the limit try not to use them anymore..."

A real gift to those of us a bit spooked by money
I received this book as a gift from my girlfriend, who keeps trying to persuade me to save money for retirement, invest in a 401k, blah, blah, blah. I can't help it - I have a mental block about money, it just intimidates me. Well, it did until I got this book. It's written in normal english and it explains everything, not just the concepts, but WHY my life will improve if I understand this stuff. My only regret is not having the book about five years ago. Have already read it twice, and am already dispensing advice to my friends now, and even a little to my girlfriend. Really good job by the author.

How to Become A Successful Financial Consultant

A good book, except for the writing
Jim Ainsworth clearly demonstrates his extensive financial consulting experience throughout this book. Much of the information is valuable, and it covers the important beginners' range of knowledge effectively. However, his 'down to earth' style is not only irritating, it actually makes the book painful to read. Good written English is not always the same as good spoken English. Surely the man is a succesful financial consultant, but that doesn't make him a good writer. It just goes to show that in a hot, growing industry like financial consulting a book written by a 'qualified' author will sell even if it is poorly written.

Getting Started-*
*A good book of guidelines for the undecided about becoming a financial consultant, planner?

Starting out? READ THIS BOOK!
The author's background is a small town CPA, which may account for his no BS approach. Simple (not simplistic) straightforward solid advice for anyone wishing to start a financial advisory practice.

I'm have a CPA background and obtained my CFP several years ago, but never practiced financial planning, other than a brief foray working with an insurance company, which was an excercise in high pressure selling. Ugh! I wish I had this book back then!

Executive Summary on Managing Credit Risk
This book is good overview on current status of the credit risk management. I recommend it to those who need to get quick overview on what it takes. It compares classic credit analysis with new approaches, explains the credit culture etc. However this can not be used as a single source of information. You will need additional books. Do not expect to get mathematical formulas in this book. There is only very few of them, which is benefitial here, because the book is easy to understand. What you will get is a vision on how the credit risk should be managed. If you seek specific advices on how to manage credit risk than there are better books like Managing Bank Risk: An Introduction to Broad-Base Credit Engineering from Morton Glanz.

Too good to be true?
While the recent comment "Comprehensive Resource on Credit Risk Management" is very good in many ways, I wish it explains more in the low yielding instruments, like the wit it shows in the treatment of high yield.

Comprehensive Resource on Credit Risk Management
Overall this book is a good overview of credit risk managment issues and techniques. The treatment of high yield is particularly good, and much of this information is unique to this resource.
