Excellent, easy-to-read advise

This is one of the easiest books to read regarding financial advise and associated/related matters. Her examples are very realistic and easy to understand. This is the best book on financial matters that I have ever seen, for men or women.

Sound financial advice...

This is a good, clear, concise guide to managing your finances. By reading the book, I was able to answer questions that had been puzzling me previously. The author's use of clear charts, graphs and colorful illustrations make his points stand out and grab your attention. If you seek to grow and protect your investments this is a good book to have by your side. I would rank this among my five favorite books on financial topics.

Great Book

Very informative. This is the best personal finance book I have read. If you are looking for an investment book, keep looking. If you are looking for a book with helpful detailed plans for managing your finances from insurance to college planning this is the book.

Everyone should read this book!

A very easy to understand book that helps you create a financial plan for yourself. Easy to understand and written for the everyday Joe. Nothing complicated about it at all. If you're just starting out with your first job or are closing in on retirement, this book is for you. The author does a great job of explaining the pros and cons of the different types of investment vehicles. Lots of eye opening charts to show the power of compounding money. It basically helps you figure out how much you need to survive on at any age and what you need to do to achieve that goal.

This book should be required reading in every high school.

Retirement planning made readable

In a user-friendly and down-to-earth manner, R.D. Bly flawlessly purveys the ingenuity necessary to master compound interest. Considering the shaky ground on which social security currently kneels, understanding the difference between an IRA and a 401k is the 411 we need to keep our heads above water, and Money While You Sleep is a smart, effective start. To read this book by the age of 20 is to be 40 steps ahead of the game. Every year you lose a little ground. What are you waiting for?!

It is unfortunate that a book of such wide applicability and interest to anyone doing research in the fields of macroeconomics and the history of economic thought is so high-priced. As D.P. O'Brien said in The Economic Journal, "Virtually no essay in the collection is without interest and it should be on the bookshelves of everybody interested in monetary economics." How about a paperback version?

Tama McAleeses' money book made it easier for me to realize the incredible power of money. She warns of the common pitfalls young investors can run into and uses tried and true advice regarding most major money decisions.

Get this book, read it, and follow instructions. In twenty years you'll be set.
