Although this book was written in 1984 it is still, in my opinion, one of the best and clearest descriptions of options trading ever published. All later books have taken passages from this book. It also contains many formula for calculating Fair Price, days to reach a certain price, probability of reaching a price, and many more. I just cannot understand why it has not been republished given the interest in trading options. Stan Graham

Every once in a great while, maybe once in a lifetime, it's possible to stumble across a book that, if you are ready to hear what it has to say, can send your life off in a new direction. A little more than ten years ago, this book did that for me. Being a child of the sixties, I went to work for one of those "make-a-difference" professions that are notorious for not paying very much. Only a few years out of school, and long before the media decided it was fashionable, I racked up an incredible amount of credit card debt. Looking for a way out, I stumbled across this book, and one of those rare inflection points occurred in my life.

"How to Retire Young" is laid out rather simply. Its starts with the basic premise that it is not necessary to work forever and shows how this is possible. Next it shows why not being dependent on a job is something to look forward to, rather than the beginning of boredom. Then it explains how employers no longer have any loyalty to their employees - just ask anybody who's been laid off recently. Choosing the right profession is discussed, and explains that although becoming self-sufficient by working for someone else is clearly more difficult, it is possible. The book then covers the different steps necessary to accomplish an early retirement including the different tools to take advantage of while accumulating retirement assets. Because of the age of the book, it does not cover more recent developments like Roth IRAs, but everything it does cover remains relevant. Lastly, the book provides inspiring case histories of people who succeeded in leaving employment when they wanted to, not when they had to.

Between this book and "Your Money or Your Life" by Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robin (still in print), which were published at roughly the same time, I was inspired to create change not only in my finances but also in my lifestyle. It took a few years, but I crawled out of debt (without declaring bankruptcy), learned how to save money, and was motivated to start investing. I'm still in the same profession, and it will be a few more years before I'm financially self-sufficient, but I'm looking forward to a comfortable retirement well before I'm 62, the median retirement age in the United States. The book gives you clear insight into what the 3 basic accounting reports are, why they exist and the world of GAP. A wonderful introduction with some depth.

It is all here, budgets, taxes, inflation, wages, jobs, a college education, investing, etc. This is a book that teens should buy as an investment in their futures. The book is well suited for giving to a teen by parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. The best time start a teen on the road to financial planning is now, not 20-30 years from now.

I love this book. I was highlighting this book until it looked like I painted all of the pages yellow (laugh). This book is a good book about financial prosperity. 'I'll Never Be Broke Another Day In My Life' should be on the bookshelves of every Believer. There are alot of Christians who are against teachings on financial prosperity. I'm not one of those Christians. I'm a Believer who wants to receive ALL that God has for me. I listend to the tape series (I'll Never Be Broke...) first and then I purchased the book.

Dr. Thompson shows you how you'll never have to worry about any lack or shortage in your life. The word 'broke' is not limited to just money, but it means 'to be without'. The principles in this book shows you how to no longer 'be without' healing; 'be without' wisdom; 'be without' the Anointing; and especially to 'be without' finances. I received full knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and revelation from the prophetic teachings from this book. I recommend this book for the prosperous Believers.
