Provided as a foundation to my employer's internal training programs, this is a fantastic book. Often arcane financial terms made accessible and understandible, even to the uninitiated. I highly recommend it to anyone working in the financial sector, or with a keen interest in their own financial matters.

It's hard to find that ONE business/financial dictionary that can cover your needs as a translator--there is no panacea--but Romaine does an excellent job. I've made the measly investment of $50 or so for other books, but all seven of those failed attempts do not add up to the variety and depth of this one gem of a reference book. For U.S. readers it may read a bit British, but don't worry U.S. usage is included as well. What I especially like about this book are the excellent translations for obscure ministries and laws.

The authors have been putting out annual editions of this guide for more than 20 years. (They need to, the rules keep changing.) It's a classic, focused more on the brass tacks of maximizing the financial aid your teen gets. This is the one to read when your child is a junior or senior, and there are all those financial aid forms to fill out.

This is a great book. If I'd read it three years ago when it first came out, I'd be very wealthy today. However, I did just the OPPOSITE of what this book said to do, thus, I lost a lot. Robert Logan's book, is a great learning tool. It is concise, to the point, and very prophetic. Here we are in the midst of one the worse recessions in history, and one of the worse bear markets in history, and Logan saw it coming 3 years go. Great book!! I wish he'd write another one about the NEXT 3 years (2002-2005).

A comprehensive book on a new and exciting topic. I have read all of Mr. Banks' other books and would highly adding those and this new one to your finance library. He has a way of making complex topics understandable.

Gollier has written a book that not many others could have written. It is VERY complete, it is full of deep insights, and, for me, it is a pleasure to read. Don't be mistaken: this is a research book, not a textbook. But for those of us doing research in decision theory, general equilibrium, finance, or macroeconomics, it is simply a must. How could you afford NOT to buy it?

This insightful account offers a lively view of a turbulent time in United States economic history. Wells' book is informative, well-researched, and well-written.

This dictionary is a must for anyone in the financial field who finds themselves doing business both in Latin America and North America. It is not bulky therefore can be taken on your trips. Clear definitions in both languages.

Steven Schuker's work is considered by many in the academic field as perhaps the most well researched and scholarly work in diplomatic history in recent memory. This book is a must for anyone who really wants to understand why the Paris Peace Process failed after the First World War, and why France was so ill-prepared for World War II. The End of French Predominance in Europe also provides great insight into France's situation in European politics, both in the inter-war period and today. This is a must read for any serious scholar of modern diplomatic or military history.
