This book is a wonderfull book that teaches how life choices affect your financial future. The chapters are well written and easy to read. The author gives plenty of examples of how people get themselves into debt and how they can avoid getting into debt by learning from other peoples' mistakes. I read the book in one night and loved it!!!!!!!!

I found the book interesting and well laid out. It explains the whole college financing process and gives you specific tips on how to make it work for you. It also valuable advice on managing personal finance going forward. Because it was written by two recent graduates, it has all college necesities that can make this work. I highly recommend it for anyone going to college, wanting to start college or even just in high school. Good book, overall.

I am a former student of Peter Ritchken. I attended one of his MBA classes. Although the book is derivatives theory at an advanced level I think he managed to write in an easly understandable language. One thing that helped me a lot is all the relevant examples the book is filled with. I guarantee the book will give you a very good overview over the theory of derivatives.

This book provides a lucid explanation of how to incorporate stochastic volatility into your favorite model. The book also explains most of the topics from the ground up. Highly recommended!

This is a superb book, get it if you are interested in the world of derivatives. As the title suggests, however, this is a *managerial* intro to the world of the world's "most powerful financial intruments" and will be excellent introduction for MBA students. COntains some excellent examples from this world as well (great to know this if you are going to interview).

If you want something a lot more numerical and yet friendly, I'd suggest "The Complete Guide to Option Pricing Formulas by Espen Gaarder Haug" to go alongside this book - thats a classic as well. I found Diccionario Bilingue de Terminos Bursatiles very helpfull, Im Mexican, and currently, Im preparing myself to present the NASD series 7 examination. Its complete and has been a good aid on my studies. If you need a securities dictionary this is. Suerte.

The book iitself is good and could learn a great deal with a correct companion cd. But you can't include a CD in which all the problems and examples in the book differ from the cd. As with all software-learning books with accompaning cd's, it's crucial that you can perfom the necessary problems and examples correctly. This is not the case with Data Analysis and Business Modeling with Microsoft Excel by Wayne L. Winston. Small errors such as the cd Excel sheets being one row off from the book examples to missing data and incorrectly named companies (example: Cisco on the cd vs. Microsoft in the book) to large errors such as beginning of the month totals in sales examples being non-existent and data completely missing (in the Cisco/Microsoft example.) And these all occur w/in the first three chapters! Had the cd jived with the book, this would be a great resource. Since it is nearly impossible to do the activities on the cd, I rated this book poorly and will be taking it back and looking at other data analysis/modeling books.

I love this book. This Book is a must for anyone who wants to learn how to use Excel to perform Data Analysis and Business modeling. I learned alot from this book. Winston shows us how to use Excel functions and shows us with examples. Plenty of examples and answers provided with the CD. This is a very good "foundational" book. You should also check out the book by Jackson and Staunton "Advanced modeling in finance using Excel and VBA". A book by Sengupta "Financial Modeling using Excel and VBA" is also worth looking at. I own all 3 books
