Great book, with solid research and examples. Anybody remotely interested in Derivitaves should own a copy of this book.

this book is very very soft...as the title can suggest. Very good but only for thos that know absolutely nothing about accounting. How it works, what it is....? that book will give you a short overview but still good.
As a French person, I bought this book to understand better the basics about the US accounting system and also for some technical words. Very good for that...I recommend this book for those coming in the US with some financial or accounting perspectives.
So...very good book....clear, funny sometimes, and very cheap!

The book by Michael R.young on financial fraud and accounting irregularities is a commendable work. In the corporate world and financial management, some lessions are required to be learnt from this book.The book gives sophisticated advise on checking financial frauds. some of the learnt lessions can be applied to check related frauds in India.

The Accounting Software Handbook provides an excellent overview of the state of accounting software today as we move into the Client/Server environment. The book can be read from cover to cover to obtain a basic understanding of the state of the accounting software industry. It also serves as an excellent reference, since the author breaks down the book by chapters such as " Internet Accounting" and " Graphical Accounting", which should be referred back to frequently. Finally, by doing such an excellent job of updating us on the current status of this changing industry, the author provides functional business managers with ideas of how they can use technology to improve their organizations.

The author is an excellent writer whose style is informative for managers, technical people who need a better understanding of business issues, as well as students, salespeople, and others who are trying to develop a basic understanding of the business. I would recommend this book not only to those involved in the software industry, but to anyone studying where business is headed in the future.

I took an accounting course not knowing about the working papers, just fending for my self as best as I could under the circumstances. The working papers put my understanding of the material in to "turbo" mode, it makes accounting practices a snap!

This book should be back in print.

I used it prior to an MBA course and I could have passed the Core Financial Analysis class on day one.
