2000- Planning for Retirement Distributions

This is a great reference book for anyone who gives financial planning advice to clients. The authors detail the best ways in which to set up, and make changes to IRAs, in order to get the best result for the IRA owner and beneficiaries.

A lot of real world experience is evident from the author's explanations of the methods recommended for use in dealing with individuals and families, and their retirement planning. Technical issues are dealt with comprehensively as well as the human element, which is often overlooked in a technical publication.

How IRA money is best used in estate planning is covered in detail. For estate planning the authors also give a very detailed explanation of how life insurance can be used to pay estate taxes, leaving the bulk of a large estate intact. The chapter goes into great detail about the life insurance industry, types of policies and the pros and cons of life insuranace illustations.

Readable, Concise, and Effective

This book was a real page-turner. Thanks to the author's well-structured plan for forming new habits (and breaking old ones), I have paid off my credit cards and cut them up. More than just a collection of individual chapters, the book reads as a cohesive whole and doesn't overwhelm the reader with seemingly impossible lifestyle changes. I recommend this book to anyone!

This book can be useful to anyone who has a 401(k) plan at work--whether you're an experienced investor or don't know which end's up. The author writes clearly but never talks down to readers and acts like he really cares whether you're getting the most out of your plan. He goes through the whole process, from whether you should join (YES) to whether you should ever borrow (NO) and it's nice to find everything you need in one place

What a great book! James Wise has a great handle on the financial problems most of us are facing and practical examples of how to improve our lives financially. My wife and I read the book and immediately started implementing some of the ideas with positive results. Refreashing

This book is very different from most other financial books in the sense that I was left with real life steps that should be taken. I felt I was more in control with my finacial picture. The book was fairly easy to read and I found very little fluff. I felt it was of help and I will use several of the strategies that Mr. Reed gives.

Great Book about a little known topic - magazine accounting.

The best book available on this intricate subject. Peter Craig's book on Accounting and Finance for Magazines is the best (and I believe ONLY) book available on this subject. Yet it is of vital importance for any publisher who receives subscription income. Most accountants do not realize that subscription income is DIFFERENT!!! And neither do most CPA's and auditors. With this book you can show how it is SUPPOSED to be handled.
