This fascinating, well-written little volume is investing made easy for those of us who aren't Warren Buffet, and may even be "investing-challenged." With excellent analogies and anecdotes drawn from his puttering around the garden, the author makes the seemingly daunting task of what to do with one's - and one's family's - cherished and hard-earned savings seem not only less paralyzing, but even fun. And since the author writes informatively not only about finances but about gardening, it's a terrific "two-fer." Quite simply, it's the best investment I ever made.

I loved this little book!
I tend to be rather daunted by numbers in general and financial statements in particular, but this book discusses the basics of investing in terms of gardening -- tending the soil, planting the seed, waiting for the harvest -- rather than in terms of things that make my eyes glaze over. I've never heard investing described in this way, but it really helped me understand so much!

I thought that "The Guide to Financial Public Relations" was well written and logical, with many helpful step-by-step instructions. Though it is written specifically for the financial industry, it contains helpful information and valuable strategies for almost any business person who works with a client base and who wants to be more successful in their industry.

I have worked in the public relations field for 25 years, yet I found this book instructive with many new idea "gems" that I plan to implement in the future. For while it may be difficult to teach old dogs new tricks, today a business person must constantly learn new "tricks" (i.e. business strategies) in order to survive. This book delivers!

Chambers masterfully illustares the art and impact of public realtions. His book captured the steps I needed to take to promote myself. I found it to be a real resource.

Finally, a book on personal budgeting that I was able to understand and put to use. I recommend this guide to others like myself who have a difficult time with their finances. I never knew where my money was going.

The author has another blockbuster on personal finance. This book is an easy read, easy to understand and easy to implement the personal budgeting guidance contained therein. An average working person who follows the books outline, will be able to accumulate millions in their life time and be able to retire with a standard of living they thought impossible. The recommendations in this book works for those who have the courage to implement the authors easy to follow guidance.

I am a business minor and this book has helped me greatly. It has served as a terrific resource to me.

The Home Daycare Recordkeeping: Your Financial Guide To Success is a must-have if you are in the daycare business. This book has proven to be a GREAT guide for me personally, as it is easy to read giving detailed examples, helpful tips, and chocked full of information I CAN use.

I am starting a home daycare and this book answered ALL of my questions and allowed me to create all the forms I would need to run my business. Very easy to read, very informative and filled with great ideas!

This book brings together about the best personal strategic investment advice I have seen (and I am a professional investment advisor publishing a weekly newspaper column). Dr. Pinto condenses the fruits of an active investment career during which he has parlayed a schoolteacher's salary to millions of dollars in real estate. As a public school teacher, he calculated the seed money he could develop by shunning the cafeteria and brownbagging his lunch. As a developing multimillionarire, he reasoned that he could enjoy the fruits of success and enhance his own by sharing emerging disciplines and experiences with others at all sorts of income levels. The results have been concrete and varied with actual case histories of great value.
Neither a prude nor an advocate of foolish attempts to link pseudo-religious generalties with accumulating wealth, he sets forth questionaires for defining an individual focus of personal values which his case histories show unleashes personal energies toward financial success.
Unlike the authors of most material in this field, he has no particular bias or self interest to promote (although I think he slights the stock market a bit). Obviously possessed of discerning intelligence linked with a teacher's desire to share the fruits of his experience, his book is an unusual and effective product that would improve the results of almost any reader.

This is about the most effective straight from the shoulder financial advice I've seen. Dr. Pinto has been a diamond dealer and a teacher (he saved by habitually brown bagging)and a successful real estate investor. Along the way, probably from his teaching background, he started showing other people how to do this and their personal histories are in this book. Unlike most financial advice, he has no reason to push any particular product or "system," which eliminates a good deal of the competition in so-called "financial planning." Save yourself an hour with one of those product pushers and get this book.

I was on the road to financial disaster until I read this book. It made me take a good look at my financial status, how I got to that state and what to do to fix the situation. I am now on my way to Financial Freedom and enjoying every minute of it!! Give this book to everyone you care about.

After reading Todd's book on cutting college costs, I knew I had to share it with my high school students. His book is an easy to read, step-by-step guide that is long over due. Too often young adults simply don't know where to begin when establishing their residency bid, but have no fear Mr. Daryl Todd Jr. is here! I would recommend this book to anyone who desires to go to college out of state, but does not have the big bucks.

Daryl Todd's book is a lifesaver. I thought I'd never find a way to afford college. It's easy to follow, direct, and manageable. It's something I'd buy anyone wanting to find a way to get an affordable college education will out mortgaging their future to loans. Great Christmas gift!

I have heard Harley Gordon speak on a number of occasions. He is forceful and to-the-point - and so is his book. Harley eschews legalese to deliver an easy-to-read discussion regarding Medicaid planning. This is source material for those in the insurance/financial planning arena and for those confronted with the prospect of spending down their assets prior to going on Medicaid, i.e. welfare. The material is presented in "Dick and Jane" fashion; it is an easy read. I recommend it to anyone who might be impacted in any way by Medicaid.

I f you wish to understand the subjects of Medicare and Medicaid as they relate to aging and long term care, this book is a must - and a "keeper". I am a 28-year insurance professional and have been involved in long term care insurance since 1988. I have heard Mr. Gordon speak on a number of occasions. He speaks as he writes - clear and to the point. An attorney, he avoids "legalese". Our insurance agency trains other insurance agents in long term care. I always recommend that they purchase this book. It is imperative that our prospects and clients understand what (limited) benefits they might receive from either of these government programs. Mr. Gordon makes a complex subject understandable.
