I just received this book from my Mortgage company, and I thought this could be another boring Mortgage Guidelines textbook. After I read the introduction and contents, I was WRONG, totally wrong. This is a well-written in details explanation for all the Mortgage Professions Guidelines. From 1008, 1003, GFE, TIL to Federal Disclosures forms; from Loan Initialization to Incoming Calculation; from Loan Processing to Closing Underwritting, even a Mortgage Broker/Loan Officer like me, average made 3 million a year of Loan Closing deals, there are still some of Guidelines I didn't get, this book really helps me to figure out and even more deeply understand the Mortgage Lending Procedures and Guidelines. I recommended this book to those who are new to Mortgage business, and even strongly recommended to those who already are Loan Officer Professions, this book REALLY can increase your productions!!!!

As I am a loan officer, I think that this book is a masterpiece. Eespecially, The book covers the naked analysis of an unsucessful corporate's financial statement. I'd like to call it Corporate Anatomy!

I couldn't put this one down. Stalfort captures the crackling intrigue of Maryland commercial forms in a way that grabs you by the lapels and won't let go until this thrill ride is over. Show me where to sign!

This book is a great source of information for anyone buying a car or house or applying for a loan. Monthly payments (withing a few dollars) can quickly be determined. This is a must have business/investment reference. I've purchased it as a gift for several family members and friends.

I am in the market for my 1st home that is a reason I have read several " mortgage books ". I highly recommend this book. The author explained different loans in great details. He also including a current realistic budget I used before getting over my head. I am confidence I will save money on my new purchase. The only down fall I wished there was a current issue. I would like to have compared 1997 to 2001 editions, to see if the loan process has changed into the 21st century.

I really enjoyed this book. Contrary to many other "manuals", this one has nothing that's unneeded or unimportant - no watery phrases, no stupid stories - just up to the point, precise information on subjects such as sources of the mortgage money, reading the fine print, ARMs, FHA and VA loans. It even includes Ammortization and Loan Progress Tables..And it's very easy to read and understand!

If you are a first time home buyer, this is a must read. Tells you all of the great ways to avoid paying to much when buying your first house. Also this is a great book for anybody who has previously bought a house. Answers alot of questions about your credit what and why it matters, explains in detail all of the disclosure, how long the loan process takes, and what is involved in all aspects of the buying process.

This book is still relevant after all these years.

This book is a must read for the parents whose children will someday attend college. I wish I had had this book when my children were little. After reading it I gave it to my daughter and son-in-law who just had a baby. They agreed and learned so much about the different ways to save for your child's education. With the price of college rising, you can not afford not to read this book.
