Sorry I never read this book,but I need read this book right now because of my work need.

I got this book before and i give it to my friend as gift,next day i feel penitent .Now i get it again .Mr. Traister do good jop by showing and explaning the meterials with clear figures and calculations,but he show different method of ducting and he miss how we decide to select a proper method ....this book is easy to follow and i need this book in my library.I have another book for Mr.Traister and i found he use many figures from (industeria Elect....)book in this book (Illustrated........ DO Not Copy Mr.Traister......!

This book brings a good source for some process of electricity industry reforms around the world. It's based on several works from different authors who makes his contribution to a single case (country/region). The author gather together to brings to reader an excellent source for make comparisons.

Actually there is no book that give good criterious for dimension a large hydrogenerator. this book needs to be actuallized, considering chapters about comissioning, magnetic thrust calculation, surge impedance formula, methods for reactance calculation by load rejection, new insulations and seni-conductors material used today. This is a good book, but needs to be revised. I'm not sure that it can be used in really large machines (greater than 150MVA / 24 poles). It needs to be urgently revised.

I had the fortune to attend the course in Linear Robust Control with Dr. Green at Cornell University and used the book as a text. This book is perfect if you have a good understanding of linear algebra as well as optimal control theory. Some of the proposed problems are (I remember the headaches) of high dificulty but having the book along with some good papers written by the autors, makes them much easier. Because of the dificulty of the subject, I read several other books and none was better that this so if you really want to learn Linear Robust Control and care about mathematic rigurousity, this is the book for you. It is best suited as a companion for a course in robust control since the book is not easy at all.

I have been searching for a few books on batteries when I stumbled upon this book by Brendt. It contains very valuable information on how to characterize maintenance free batteries compared to other batteries. Starting from the fundamental chemistry of a basic electrochemical cell, the author then proceed to the various parameters and definitions, and also discusses at length the Lead-Acid and Nickel-Cadmium, and Nickel Metal Hydride Battery systems. The extensive discussion on internal oxygen cycle, the principle behind the above three operations is discussed in detail. It gives a very understandable introduction for the novice, without sacrificing the various technical terms used in describing this in detail. It then discusses the various operational requirements of the battery systems in a point by point manner. This book is really recommended for those who are embarking on serious research on batteries and even an excellent introduction for those who are confused on the various technical specifications for batteries.

This books is realy one of the best books that I had read, before I find it hard to figure out if how a device works. Now, because of this book, I understand how semiconductors do work and their properties.

Please give us more information regarding the IEC 601-1 and IEC 601-2 reference.

This book is very suitable for the person engage in nanofabrication area.

The book is "pricey" at $99.05 and that is why I rated it 4-stars instead of 5. I just started teaching a technical electronics course at ITT Technical Institute which uses this book as its main text. I was a little rusty on several topics when I realized that I was again becoming proficient as I was teaching the material with the aid of this book. The author treats each topic in a clear and concise manner. The examples he uses are relevant and an excellent choice for each topic. As a side note, most if not all electronic textbooks are full of distracting errors and this book seems to have kept them down to a minimum. I commend the author for this observance to detail. Also, he changed simulation programs from PSpice to Electronic Workbench. I can not figure out why when PSpice is sort of an "industry standard". Anyway, I have learned to use yet another simulation program. I have added this book to my special collection of technical references. J.W. Heckendorf.
