If you work on a EMS system you NEED this book. The book covers almost any topic on power system weighted-least-squares state estimation. Knoledge of calculus and electric systems is advised. The book has plenty of examples easy to follow. Good book for learning and researching.

My Comment About The Book: I think this is one of the best books interested in statics and mechanics. You can learn all subjects easyly and you can see lots of applications with very good examples. If you really want to learn buy it!

With the passing of Lew the industry has lost a great giant. Fortunately his great knowledge has been captured and preserved in this book. After explaining in great detail the system of symmetrical components, the book explains through practical examples how to use symmetrical components to solve problems. The book is an excellent text and reference book. Items covered include line impedances, machines, and transformers. Underground and overhead line impedances and mutuals are covered extensibly.

well the book covers the wide spectrum of the power systems field especially laying more emphasis on the stability aspects. this is highly recommended for graduate students pursuing research in excitation system analysis when dealing with the stability of the systems,also the covering a major portion of power system stabilizers.

I have been in the Hvac trade for years, this book has become my Hvac bible. alot of books cover theory on equipment that is obsolete and dont give you you specific info, this book is on the mark for everything an HVAC tech needs in the field. I recommend this book to all who are in the trade.

During the last few years the field of controlled electrical drives has undergone rapid expansion due mainly to the advantages of semiconductors in both power and signal electronics and culminating in micro-electronic microprocessors and DSPs. These technological improvements have enabled the development of really effective AC drive control with ever lower power dissipation hardware and ever more accurate control structures. The electrical drive controls become more accurate in the sense that not only are the DC current and voltage controlled but also the three phase currents and voltages are managed by so-called VECTOR CONTOL. It is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who want to be an expert in the field of AC Drives Control.

This book is great! It is definitely THE book to learn Weber's Theory of Electrodynamics. Something everybody interested in the fundamental laws of the universe should learn. Weber's Theory is very simple and fun to learn. The only dissapointment is that the theory doesn't explain the motions of particles travelling at near the speed of light (but that can easily be resolved). I also learned a lot of math by reading this book; It uses math in ways I haven't seen done in any other book. The book is very well organized and includes derivations for practically all the formulas. It also has a great bibliography to continue your studies in Weber's and other alternative theories. What I really don't like is the huge price tag, which means I have to go the library everytime I wanna check something out from the book.
