An absolutely excellent book, a must for anybody seriously studying the interaction of electromagnetic fields with molecules. Very clearly written, totally self-contained, a rare treausure

I cannot think of a nicer beginning book than "My First Batteries and Magnets Book". The color photographs make a child excited about starting the project. It is comprehensive in how to do the projects and what materials are needed. The only drawback may be the availability of some of the materials needed, depending on the where you are located; however most can be purchased at hardware stores and hobby shops.

The projects are not many in this book but are of quality. Any child that enjoys this book will feel compelled to venture out on their own...searching for more ideas and inventions. Isn't this what we all hope... to inspire a child's mind? This book has it!

what can i say but here are all the rules to follow in order to be a safe and correct electrician. as an electrical contractor, i use this book almost daily to make sure my work is "up to code". the handbook shows in great detail plenty of examples and pictures of alot of the individual codes. this only helps to read and understand the national code. a must for anyone serious about his/her workmanship and the safety of the same workmanship.

This book along with the one by Vanvalkenberg is one of the definitive textbooks in this line.

Kuo presents short, simple and lucid explanations of the concepts and supplements the theory with quite a number of problems.

Very useful and very well written.

I will tell you this: for those people out there who love German people's names, Volker Achim Weberruß's name will not disappoint. And his book... ach, his book-- I will just say this: it lives up to his name.

That is what I will say.

Additionally, I will say that reading this book, you feel ravished by the technical command Volker Achim Weberruß has over his computational domain-- you feel like a young child, in the hands of a brutish master. You feel like a life raft cradled in a tempest-loving sea. You are at his mercy.

Weberruß is the Mayor of Science,, folks.

I will also say this: I was a little disappointed in the appendix, though. Not quite meaty enough, for my taste, and I found several notable ommissions ("hyponautical quadraticism" was mentioned on pages 133 and 411, though the topic was apparently not substantial enough to warrant an appendixical mention). But for that I fault the editor, not Volker Achim Weberruß.

Volker Achim Weberruß is the champion of the history of science of the universe.

Object-Oriented Magnetic Resonance: Yes!

Excellent source of introductory issues to the hot subject of quantum dots. It is now a bit old, not accounting for the new advances in the last 5 years, but still the necessary material to start.

If you need an engineering introduction into parameter estimation for generators, motors, transformers, and even more this book is the one you should be looking for. It has all the right answers for you no matter if you are a student, teacher or an engineer.

This book provides very good foundations over almost all of the whole area of filter design. It should be stressed that this book is not a filter cookbook for a casual design - it is a very serious guide to the mathematics underlying filter design, starting with a discussion of the Laplace transform, and moving to passive filter design and analysis.

Budak enables the reader to acquire a very aquaintance of the limitations involved with network synthesis techniques - exhaustive discussion of issues such as sensitivity (tolerance to component inaccuracy) appear, with a section devoted to component non-ideality.

It should be noted that the book was originally published in the early seventies; perhaps the only thing missing from the text is a more contemporary discussion of design techniques applying to active high frequency circuits.

Twenty five years ago, video op-amps were not particularly thick on the ground, and this situation has changed a good deal for the better.

Another thing which would be very welcome would be a discussion in equal depth regarding the analysis and synthesis of circuits which consist of a mixture of distributed and lumped components.

All in all, a very complete and satisfying treatment of a broad subject.

Pauli, who was rated by Born to be as good as Einstein, taught theoretical physics for many years at Technische Hochschule at Zurich. This book is labored on notes taken by students from his lectures on Electrodynamics. This is the book I consult when I am not happy with the explanations in the usual books. If it happens that Pauli touches the subject, I always get what I looked for: conceptual clarity and very good algorithms. Yes, because Pauli, one of the most profound physicists ever, believed that a physicist must calculate. He even "practiced" in his spare time! I especially like, in this book, the derivation of the laws for RLC circuits, rigorously in the field theory way, and absolutely clear and elegant. This is not an introduction to electricity. It is a rather sophisticated introduction to that part of theoretical physics called electrodynamics. In this role, it is certainly among the very best.
