John Choma's Electrical Networks is an excellent reference for the circuit designer and a exceptional book for a graduate level course on circuit analysis. Electrical Networks presents a comprehensive approach to the analysis of multi-port networks including high frequency circuits.

I knew nothing about wiring or electricity before I read this book. It was very easy to understand and covered everything very well. The wording is not too difficult to comprehend. I reccomend this book for expirienced as well as inexpirienced electricians.

Mike Holt's Electricians's Exam Prep book is the guide that I have used for the intensive week-end Electrician's Exam Prep classes that I teach. I have found that this book covers all of the essentials that you need to study to pass your National Electrical Code (NEC) test. This book starts with a review of the math and theory essential to passing an exam, and then subsequently does a great job of covering the things that are difficult to study, such as code tables and calculations including services and motor circuits. Mike includes lots of explanatory diagrams and examples.

Another great feature in the 1999 edition is that Mike has included all of the answers in the back of the book, often including explanations or showing the work to reach that answer. In previous editions, that answer key was a separate $22 purchase.

This book would be of benefit to anyone studying for their National Electrical code licensing exam, whether at the Journeyman, Master, Inspector, or Electrical contractor level. (Check your state or city exam guidelines to determine if your exam will also cover local and state laws, business laws, etc.)

I have never been a science geek - I failed at college science classes. Just the picture alone on the cover of this book explained how to make a battery out of a lemon. For anyone wishing to learn more about electricty and how it works - this fun book of experiments includes colorful pictures that show exactly how to do it right. This book, and this Make It Work series is one of the best science books for kids on the market.

This is the second Physics workbook by George Mathews that I have used in my Physics courses at the Ohio State University. This book, and the Socratic Physics book, are really effective at bringing difficult and complicated concepts down to a level that is easily grasped by the college or even high school student. I recommend that students of physics use this as a tool for much greater understanding and targeting learning. This is a really outstanding tool...and I recommend it for all students of physics.

This is discovery learning at it's best! The child is given the materials (easily found around the house) to use. Through trial and error will come up with the solution. This kind of learning stays with you. The price is right too. The book includes teacher instruction and requires minimal prep time. Sixteen lessons can be photocopied for your class. Home educators can use this for ages 7 and up.

For students who are planning to get a magister on power systems analisys ,is very important to get a complete knowledgment about every equipment that is part of the power system. Now i'm finishing my career and i'm looking for a complete book to get more information about power generation, and power quality,and i'm sure it is what im looking for .

In a readable format this book tells how to plan and present a science project, and also gives a few avenues to explore. It is a good book for students in grade levels 4-6.

It is not often that one has the tremendous joy of discovering a very good book, but this is the experience I had unexpectedly when I began to read this one, because in principle I had only expected to find a common piece of superficial historical literature.

It is undoubtedly the best history I know of the development of ideas and theories about electricical and magnetic phenomena AND of the experimentation, development and use of empirical procedures and machines in the same field. I value most the wide and equilibrated coverage of subjects, the precision of the provided data and the almost complete lack of void fraseology. Only so can one accomplish the incredible feat of the author of putting the whole of it into 337 pages. There are a selected number of good references and good indexes.
