i loved the physiology of the factors of his book. it was truly mystifying. the title explains it all!

The book is written in simple terms and yet a very in depth about FAS. The persons who contributed to subject of this book are not only knowledgeable about FAS, but very sincere and sensitive. Through the whole book I could tell they really care about all the medical issues affected by FAS. I especially like the questions at the beginning of each chapter, because they really help you understand all the issues relating to FAS. I have become more conscious and interested in all the issues discussed in this great book since I read it. This is not only a government issue,or a community issue, but a personal issue. Someone I know or love is being affected in some area of their lives from this very illnesses. I was especially moved to read about babies born with addictions. Alot of the information on this subject was new to me. I have not only been enlightened by this book, but moved to the point I now realize I must help do something for this great cause. I recomme! nd this book not only to those in medical or counseling fields, but especially to ministers and christians who desire to extend their hand of christian brotherhood within their community. The Church has the power and easiest excess to help the community. I encourage them to read this great book.

The Butterfly Effect is an erotic treat. Many erotic stories are not balanced by the non-sexual portion of the plot. The Butterfly Effect is a sound action/mystery that can stand on its own. The novel's story is enhanced by the kinky eroticism. Roberts is very talented in the sexual tease. The main weakness I found in the story was the sexual tease being more effective in the story line than the actual erotic acts.

The Butterfly Effect starts out with an old plot line. Martin Crowe is a man who likes to help people with unusual problems. His fee is an un-named favor to be done in the future. The plot is old and has even withstood many variations on TV. The plot serves as an anchor as Roberts starts to spin new threads into the tale from the beginning. Crowe, a recent widower, is asked to visit his sister in New Orleans. His sister has arraigned a meeting with Jill Henderson. Jill was Martin's first lover and a model/fashion designer with a problem. Crowe, a college math instructor, is an expert in Chaos mathematics. He uses the Butterfly Effect from Chaos to plan and execute his solutions to the problems he solves. For the readers, the feature of the Butterfly Effect drummed in from the start is that a small change will make big things happen but you will never be sure exactly what will happen. This gives the reader the chance to predict the future but to expect the unexpected. As a result, the story twists that pop into the plot are greeted with recognition.

If the reader enjoys an erotic story, The Butterfly Effect is rated a solid A. The unique unusual characters with flaws and strengths, the richly detailed locations from New Orleans to New York to Amsterdam, and the intricate/dangerous plan to solve a problem based on human evil all serve to bring the reader into the novel's realm. The only qualification that I have in my recommendation is that the reader has to be open to look into the kinky and erotic side of life.

Dieter Langbein wrote one of the best approaches to capillary surfaces i've ever seen. I am an undergraduate student at UCF and Langbein's Capillary Surfaces is a wonderful piece of knowledge. The examples and descriptions quite possibly explain the reasons behind capillary rise. This text has served its purpose and beyond in terms of educating the reader. Langbein might as well call himself a genius because i see the future in capillary surfaces and its application. Read this book if you are extremely interested in the reasons of capillary surfaces, the shapes they undergo, stability, and dynamics. Moreover, weightlessness is a big treat for those who want to know the effects of space.

This is a much better book than Rau's resp pharm book, but unfortunetely we are still waiting for the 3rd edition. Excellent format and easy to carry in hand. It covers all aspects of cardiopulmonary drugs including medical gases and where appropriate physiology. Excellent diagrams, tables and semi-outline style for easier reading and memorizing. It would be nice if it was hardbound or we had a choice in buying either soft or hard cover. Again, we are still waiting for the 3rd ed, not that the 2nd is of no use, but there has been some new stuff happening since this 2nd ed came out.
