This book was great in helping me get started with writing awesome proposals and submitting winning bids. Many similar titles don't go in to as much detail as this book. Since I've read it, I've submitted 8 bids/proposals and have been awarded 2. This is a great book for any small business owner in the consulting/coaching field.

This book saved my life! It had the most information on Laws pertaining specifically to business.

With over 5 years of teaching experience to ESL students in Japan, this is the best business English teaching book I've found. Volume 1 starts off very basic, and implements excellent culture tips and role play. Volume 2 incorporates these features into an intermediate to advanced level.

I was a doctoral student of Dr. Hansen's at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After several courses with him, it is obvious that he shares with his students the deep sense of bonding that takes place between teachers and students and the dedication that transcends financial, professional or other considerations that propel one into education. According ot Dr. Hansen, there are many "calls" that one responds to when selecting education as a career, and all are equally valid and important. Any teacher can easily find his or her own special reason for entering the profession in this book. Dr. Hansen's writing style is easy and conversational, so one can become absorbed in both the message and the language. If a teacher needs to rediscover and reconfirm the significance and joy of teaching, I would highly recommend this book.

great book to have in a career counselor library. author did an exceptional job in explaining/describing steps to an effective career decision. book was easy to read.

This book was a required textbook in one of my sport management major classes - it's the only one so far that I've bothered to keep. The information is timely and easy to reference.

This is a "must have" for any Family and Consumer Sciences teacher just starting out. Yes there are still new people coming into the field. This book contains much information on various topics such as behavioral objectives, running labs, activities, bulletin boards, and much much more. I was lucky enough to find one in a used book store. It is currently out of print but it wouldn't hurt to keep requesting a check on the book. You never know, the author may just decide to put out a new edition if there are enough requests. :)

My students could easily understand and enjoyed using this textbook. The publishers issue new editions often enough to keep the pictures from becoming out-dated. I think it is a very good textbook.

Whatever your views are on the validity of games and simulations within a training or education environment, this book helps the reader to vet the game or simulation being examined, to ensure it delivers valid educational outcomes. The author catagorizes games and simulations and then critically discusses the desired outcomes and repercusions. Even if you may disagree with some of the authors findings, it forces the reader to examine the the structure and context of the game or simulation. For authors of games and simulations it provides a reality check of outcomes, answering the question: is the game or simulation delivering what it is designed to?
