When I first started to look through this book, I decided that it's all trivial. Then I looked again, hm-m-m... I actually never thought about most of this "trivial" stuff before. The language was simple, true, but it's amazing how many good hints are there. I regularly read books on personal finance, and this book does not repeat them. Say, did you ever wonder how banks make money on those "0% APR introductory offers"? And did you even thought why it is important to know? Yes, good question contains most of the answer. Because that's what you pay, if you use this "free" credit. And this book is good with both questions and answers. Another example: if your income is $100 short from your expenses, how much expenses you should cut? $100, right? Now, if you cannot cut expenses, how much you have to earn? $100? Not keeping in mind income tax! Assume your effective federal income tax rate last year was 15% and your tax bracket was 33%, then how much? $115? $133? $150? Wrong, quite a bit more!

The cover says, it's good for teenagers, and that's true. I'll try to make my teenager kids read it. In a few years they are going to a college, and I want them to be smart about their money. The cover says that it's also good for everybody who has come to this country and tries to make sense of our financial life. I suppose that's true too. But it's also definitely good for a lot of other folk. It was good for me, and I am not a teenager.

Maxwell writes a monthly column in MotorHome magazine, and is well-qualified to cover the subject of full-time RV living. The book includes his Full-timing Aptitude Test to help people determine if this lifestyle will work for them. Maxwell has also developed a series of national seminars, the Life on Wheels conferences, and appears at RV shows.

This book is a well written and easy to follow investment guide. It provides an overview of Mr. Westheimer's lengthy history as a stock broker, and gives sensible advice about investing geared toward the novice investor. I highly recommend this book for anyone new to investing, it provides some great advice for cautious "smart" investing. It's an easy read that won't dissapoint.

This is one of the best marketing books I have ever read. Why is it out of print? Does anyone know where I can find a copy (or several)???

Having prevously enjoyed Stephanie's writing, I was not surprised to see her newest book, but was extremely pleased at the appropriateness of the content. Who hasn't felt OVERWHELMED by the responsibilities thrust upon them each day? This audio is especially useful for those pressured for time and desiring to frequently review specific topics such as reflection on priorities, etc. A real investment that will keep on giving back to you- day after day!

This book is worth buying. It has very practical advice and a system about how to go about a job search in the non traditional way. I would also recommend Richard Bolles' What Color is Your Parachute and Howard Figler's The Complete Job Search Guide.

This book was an inspiration that started me on a successful top management career. I've used this book in several leadership roles, over a 20-year period, as an motivational primer to set subordinates on a path to self-management and achievement. It's a quick and easy guide on how to get things done and to simplify your life too. Beats all of the other how-to books on time management that I've read, combined. Some of the basic management skills never change, no matter what the latest popular trend or fad.

Podolinsky's style is not at all didactic or 'lecture hall' instruction. With attractive personal style, he taught me the difference between stating a wish or dream, and WRITING clear goals -- goals that I'll use to measure my progress & build my successes. I'm squirming because of his insistence that I include rewards & punishments as one way of keeping myself motivated. But even I - a person raised in a guilt-powered family - can embrace discipline the way Podolinsky outlines it. In our company, we've already employed his lessons, and they've been warmly received & acted upon. I'm receiving reports of "hey, this works!" and "you mean I'm allowed to schedule a life for myself?!" [Yes, folks, finding a balance between personal & professional goals is a whole chapter in this tiny book.] What a gem "Go for Your Goals" turned out to be! K.L. This is a great reference book for anyone considering part-time and even for those that are already doing it. I have worked both part-time and in a job-share and this topic is a passion of mine. I find the information in the book helpful, accurate, objective and well-balanced. It's presented in a positive fashion - not like an unrealisic fantasy - more like "if you want it bad enough you can get it, but you need to be persistent, open-minded and creative - and here are some strategies that really work." The book spans different industries and professions, which brings even more ideas to the table. The interviews and real life experiences are both inspiring and comforting.

Great book! This is a very comprehensive book that spells out everything a business person needs to know to grow their company and go public. Also covers private placements, marketing and business plans. Basically it covers everything you need to know from the begining of the business until you sell it or have an IPO. I reccomend it highly!
