How to use big and heavy books, part II
I've tried to use this book during my University studies - and it was so useless! This book seems to be only a huge collection of articles without any link between them. Many articles don't have any relation to Innovation or Management, I had the impression that they are only integrated to make the book heavier - and my family found out the same use as the other reader from Germany: My children are using it to press plants and my wife claimed already to use it as a doorholder for our old entrance later.

Technology Hotchpotch
This book is a confused compendium of short essays from almost 200 contributors. Although some of the contriubtutions may be helpful, there is no central theme and the contributions are not blended well. Also, the level of knowledge required from the reader is not consistent, as difficulty levels vary among contributions. Many of the contriubutions are obsolete and rely on literature or sources way too old for a technology handbook.

Thanks to the size of the book, it looks nice in a library and it can also be used as a doorholder or flowerpress. To get grounded in technology management issues, it is not a good choice.

Should have had "dot.com" at the end of the title
This book was like the now rapidly failing "dot.coms". A title to grab you but no content. This is not a book about e-business despite what it says on the cover! There is hardly anything on e-business let alone how you can use App. Servers to get e-business going. Even the stuff on App. Servers wasn't very detailed. This is like a vanity press book.

Lots of Preamble, Little in the Way of Insights
A great example that having Word 7 on a computer does not automatically qualify you to think you are a writer. This book, despite its promising title, devotes undue space and effort to introduction, upon introduction and does not bother to get into too much details. The title should read "A High Level Overview of App. Servers". If you know your basic Web stuff (like what Java, HTML, XML is) this book will leave dangling ... constantly asking "where is the beef?" Not a book for developers who want to know what they may be getting into.

Don't waste your money
This is the worst puchase I have made on Amazon in the last six years.

This CD is a waste of time. Questions are way too easy. It almost seems like the author took them from a kindergarten level Real Estate class. There are NO California specific questions in it.

The five exams are giving you the very same questions every time. The program does not keep track of your improvment in different areas. There are NO statistics or evaluation of your tests taken.

I was expecting a test that keeps testing the areas in which I was lacking and not ask me questions in areas which I knew.

This is not the case with this CD. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CD.

The CD that comes FREE with the book "CALIFORNIA REAL ESTATE SALES EXAM" is better designed (questions are randomly taken out of a pool of thousands of questions) and has questions that more comparable to questions I encountered in the real broker exam.

Go online before wasting money
This CD is [bad]. It contains 5 exams, totaling about 1000 questions. At first glance, that looks pretty good. However, the testing interface is very cludgy and hard to use, and the tests are not randomized. In other words, every time you take an exam, you get the same questions in exactly the same order! What's the point in making a CD-based training if you're not at least going to randomly generate the exam from the 1000 or so questions you have on the CD?

Instead, the author basically took 5 paper exams, stuck them on a CD, and charged [money] for it! Save your money. There are much better broker prep materials available online, in most cases for free. If you're really convinced that you want this author's "CD", email me and I will sell you mine for 1/2 price.

AWFULLY HORRIBLE!
I wish I could return this book if I had not spilt coffee over it... When I ordered the books, I also chose this book, which was such a big mistake. Redundant language, no particular tips to use. As a US reader, unfortunately, I must agree with an Australian reader. The other book I ordered was much much much better. The other book's title was "Using QuickBooks with Proper Accounting".

Terrible
I returned this book after 2 days, it was badly written and hard to follow. It is not that good for dummies!

expired software
I just bought this software- Sept. 2002- and it should NOT have been sold! It has been expired for over 9 months. Buying permission to use it cost the same amount as this years version; don't waste your money like I did!

Not Practical
I had high expectations for this book as it's from an "expert." But he wrote as an expert who hasn't done collections before. It was mostly just old, old theories. Waste of time reading & money. That's just my opinion.

I would not recommened anyone buying this.

A MINITAB Guide to Statistics (2nd Edition)

Bad Book
The Minitab Guide to Statistics covers Minitab Release 11, not Release 13 as advertised. Therefore the book is not very useful. The dialog boxes and output screens have changed so it is hard to find what you are looking for and if you do find something, there is a good chance that it is not accurate.
