While this publication does go over what is involved in the job of civil engineering, any information along those lines occurs in the first five or six pages. The rest is a list of organizations and teaching institutions where you could pursue training in engineering. This is not a book. It is a phamplet and you could get the same information by searching the internet and be better informed for no charge at all. If you are considering this as a counceling resource, I think you can do better. This is not a worthwhile investment for schools or the private indivudual. Save your money!

Don't waste your money on this book. You can find all the information and a lot more readily on the web with little effort. Quite obvious the author spent very little time and effort putting this book together.

This is a very unclear book with horrible, dense prose. The authors seem to have an impressive grasp of securities law, and fill the notes with many meaningful substantive explications of various technical points, but they are basically just awful writers, which makes this text a serious chore to read. Of course, no one is going to buy it unless it is assigned in a law school class, so its lack of clarity unfortunately won't really induce "customers" to buy a different securities text, but it is worth noting that you will probably need to go ahead and buy a very good hornbook right from the start. In your class, I'd suggest you read this text as little as possible: it will make your head hurt, and it's far too dense to teach you securities regulation effectively.

One of the authors Silverstein can best be described as pond scum, having done her own personal best to destroy giblet families in California.

Well having this book as course material in International Marketing, we have concluded that this book actually drained knowledge from us. The management cliche extravaganza in this book is abundant. Howabout: A successful global marketing program is preferrable to an unsuccessful one. Wow, this taught us lots. Ok, so the introduction states that the book is meant for CEO's, we guess their knowledge is far superior to us mere mortals, so this book makes sense to them.
Do not bother reading beyond chapter one, what is presented in this chapter is repeated throughout the book. In order to support what is presented, the book grabs examples from the air in order to fit the theory.
In conclusion, we recommend not to buy this book. If you want a couple of hundred pages saying basically nothing in management language, this is the book for you.
