We bought this book for our 3 year old son. He has a large collection of books with pictures of construction equipment. This book has wonderful descriptions and additional information.
It was a huge hit at our house.

Excellent, excellent book. If you're at all interested in structural engineering, this book provides in depth examples of most types of problems that you will encounter during schooling or on the job.

This is a great gift to yourself or loved one that is either creating a new space or having diffculties in thier lives that could be caused by bad energy flows. It covers Feng Shui from all angles and gives practical solutions and backs them up with reasoning that makes perfect sense.

I thought the "stages" shown in this book were very helpful. True, I don't own the type of home shown but one can easily interpret the ideas to suit a more modest home and budget. I purchased this book after her newest book, "A Winter House" (so very scrumptous!}.

If you are the kind of person who looks at photos in decorating magazines and thinks: this room would be nice if they got rid of all the cluttering knick knacks! or... what were they thinking covering that view with those curtains! then this book is for you. It covers the styles of: 1)Arts and Crafts 2)Cottage 3)Eclectic 4)Japanese 5)Minimalist & 6)Southwestern.

Each room of the house is represented with beautiful photographs demonstrating these styles. Even the garden is included. The book emphasizes serene rooms by use of clean walls and windows and parred down furnishings. Just the style of decorating I love and defenitely one of my favorite decorating books.

This bedroom certainly looks fresh and inviting. Aren't we all tired of clutter? A great cover shot!

This is a great idea & source book for anyone involved in commercial design. Creative lighting solutions from a variety of applications are presented, showcasing both the decorative fixtures and technical lighting considerations.

There are 35 case studies, each with 2-4 pages of outstanding photos and descriptions of the lighting systems used. These are broken into categories including restaurants, entertainment spaces, public spaces and shopping areas.

Most examples employ one of a kind custom designed lighting elements. How these were conceived & integrated into the overall design is described. Many beautiful fixtures, unique in form and function, are shown in the detailed photos.

Finally some spectacular designs in lamps, wall & ceiling fixtures using varied and unusual materials are shown. Contact info. is provided for the architects, designers, manufacturers and photographers featured in the book.

I have only one word for this book, WOW! The children's rooms in this book (ranging from baby to teen) is imaginative with some very unique ideas. The best part is the easy step-by-step guide as to how to create each room, even your children can help out! The photography is simply stunning with lots of details to drool over.

Antill and Woodhead clearly expose the step-by-step development of PERT/CPM in a way that the technique can be easily understood. Classic examples such as the construction of Sidney Opera House highlight the applicability. The chapter devoted to acceleration is a must.

As any book from the 60s, computational tools are not addressed, but it is not a problem. The point is that this highly recommendable book is to be read to those who want to master the fundamentals of CPM.
