I bought this for my dear sister and her husband who I lovingly call food "stupid" becaluse they can't seem to understand basic concepts of healthy food choices. THey are both thin but their son (12) is overweight due to emotional eating. THis book is very easy to read for any parent or adult who is wanting to educate a child or a group of kids.It offers step by step and DOABLE plan of action. I purchased the cookbook for ny nephew and he absolutely loves it and has been cooking from it -- at 12 years old! recipes are delicious!!

This is an excellent cookbook. A wide variety of very appealing and mostly easy recipes. And the recipe directions are very clear and thorough.

This diet is very easy to follow. You would definitely get the results desired. This book teaches you how to eat healthy and lose weight without starving to death. I love that you have the freedom to choose from different menus; not only that, I was able to learn new recepies. It was really fun to lose those extra pounds. For the past few years I have been suffering from acid reflux, bloating and cramping, but since I started this diet, I have been feeling a whole lot better. I highly recommend this book! At my church, many women are on the Scarsdale diet because they have seen the results!

I think that this book was very usefull both for me and my family.My mom really liked the book beacuse she wanted to lose weight and she did very quickly.The book has a couple of recepies and lots of information on the diet.The is diet great it is very easy and most of the food is good.I read the version in english first but decided to get the spanish version so my both my parents could try it.

Como ves en el titulo es cierto, la unica cosa que no me gusta es que se require mucho esfuerzo para no comer las tortillas,pasteles,pasta,etc. Pero, si en serio queres perder peso, y tiene la diciplina...¡les animo!

I have been on many diets over my life. I have always ended up gaining it back and more. Last year I had cancer and was lucky enough to catch it early and have a great surgeon who wanted to help heal me and suggested Weight Watchers. I joined and I am now one year later 25 lbs lighter and cancer free. But I am having a hard time losing anymore weight..I go up a lb down an ounce...my body has put me into a starvation set point. I have been doing the points system with WW which basically controls your calorie intake in a different format based on how much you weigh. It worked at first and then my body got hip to it and shut down to a very slow crawl. When reading Brook's book I saw in his program something that I could definitely live with for a lifetime. Something that I could continue to lose and attend WW meetings... which I feel is very important for me to have that accountability in a positive setting. I am very excited and will be keeping the control chart that he describes in the book. For those of you looking for a way not a diet...this may be for you. For those of you who like their olive oil, pasta and wine...this is definitely for you...
