I only only finished 77 pages of this book. It was by far the best book about Warren Buffett. I had read "The Warren Buffett's Way" and "Buffettology". Bill, a Berkshire Hathaway shareholder

I bought this for my four year old daughter and this is one of her favorites that she wants to always read....it's great because it includes her favorite characters from Sesame Street in a fun format and the safety tips have really sunk in as I've heard her repeating the safety tips here and there (like in the car while driving and she sees a stray dog). It's good because she remembers it because of the funny pictures that she always gets a good laugh from. It's very good for teaching safety tips!

Congratulations to all that contributed to this outstanding book. The history of the Places was carefully and completely researched and presented with beautiful photographs.

I am completely delighted with "The Little Guides" series. The format is extremely user friendly, and each guide is packed with useful and interesting information. I enjoy reading them, but my 6 year old daughter gives them the most use. While the guides are written at an adult level, there is plenty that she can read and understand. I currently own "Sharks," "Birds," "Mammals," "Space," "Whales," and "Flowers."

"Whales" has three parts: 1) Whales and Their World, which include a general introduction on whales, a section on whale anatomy and senses, and a section on whale behavior; 2) Kinds of Whales; and 3) Whales and People, which covers whale lore and legends, protecting whales, observing whales, and whale watching sites.

This guide is packed with useful information, and is a great resource of adults as well as children!

This is at first glance a quite simple piece of work, with significant full-page attention grabbing pictures. As one takes time to study the photos and to understand the experience of the author, however, this book creates for the reader the beginning of an understanding for the basic rights of all humans. Living in the USA, where we take for granted our rights to such basics as survival, protection, development, and particaption, we choose to ignore the fact that Mr. Clark so poignantly communicates with a single word: "Focus" and a picture with two people -- one in the foreground, and one in the background, both fuzzy, while the land inbetween, scattered with garbage, is perfectly clear.

We had this book from our childhood. Our son absolutely loved it when we started to read it to him at ~1.5 yrs old. It's great because you can sing along with it and it's so full of everyday things. It's gotten so much use that we need another one because our original is soo tattered already.

My son and I love the way these images come to life! this makes every day Halloween and for someone who loves that time of year, what a nice thing to have around the house all the time.

Charles is thrust back in time from 1986 to 1766. He meets and falls in love with a beautiful woman named, Jenny. You travel with them back and forth in time as they try to figure out just exactly how it works. The big question - in which time do they want to live after they are married? Will time travel continue to work?
My favorite part of the book is Charles continuing his friendship with Thomas Jefferson. What fun that would be!
My least favorite part of the book would have to be the author's unending description of weather prediction and storm fronts. It's pages long and gets boring.
For history buffs and those of us who love Williamsburg, this is literally a dream come true. You feel as though you have been transported back in time. The author does a wonderful job of describing everyday life. Fun to read!

This book was my favorite when I was younger, but through the years they happened to disappear. Just recently I was able to get a hold of another copy of this book. It is too bad that these books are out of print. I would love to get the entire collection back for when I have children. Reading this book after so many years had the same effect as when I was a child. I loved this book and still do. It is a wonderful story about judging someone before you meet them. Every kid should have a copy.
