Anyone who is a fan of the British soap opera Coronation Street must get this book. It includes a complete history of the show from the premier up to the shows in 2000. I have only gotten to see the show sparingly due to it not being broadcast in the states but it is a must have for any corrie fan

When I started to read FOUNTAIN STREET HEAT I suspected a mild little story about a poor little black girl who eventually makes good in a white world. WHAT A SURPRISE. I soon discovered that the heat builds slowly - steadily - and with so much power I could feel it myself. I will read it again in about 6 months - lest I should forget!!

The author uses her adjectives with a powerful descriptive insight. I need to know more about this author - and titles of her future works.

This is a powerful book about a case that I have not heard much about until I found this book at a garage sale. I really find it hard to believe that in a country like Canada, the citizens of Sydney were so maligned. Even though it has been a few years since this book was written, there still hasn't been much development in the treatment of the waste.

This book shows in detail how your trust can be abused by unscrupulous brokers and financial advisors, how callous investment companies can be to small investors when their brokers abuse client trust, and how ineffective regulating agencies can be in redressing wrongs. I highly recommend this book if you are thinking of investing your nest egg towards retirement--you may think twice after reading it.

Brian Young is an emerging genius. There is no other way to describe this idiosyncratic collection that will rip the spleen from your guts and shove it down your throat and still leave you feeling not pain, but wonder. When you finish reading this book you will feel you have been blessed. Read it! Read it! Read it!

This is the best and most complete book on street gangs I have read. Much of it is in the voices of gang members, police officers and others who work with gangbangers.

The book left me afraid and wondering if there is any hope for tha gang problem that has infected virtually every city in the country.

Way more than just the LA Crip/Blood stereotype. That's in there, sure, but Sean Donahue has also chosen really readable selections on soccer hooligans, neo-nazis and the skinheads who are NOT nazis, NY gangs of the 1800's, common street tough gangs, organized drug dealers, kidnap rings in El Salvador, Vietnamese gangs and two fascinating "anti-gang" pieces on a DA who turned to the dark side trying to bust up a gang, and a gang being decimated by drug addiction. It's fast-paced, exciting, and you'll find yourself staying up late to read "just one more" story. My only off-note: regrettably there is none of Hunter Thompson Hell's Angels work; I'd have swapped that for the Clockwork Orange excerpt. But you'll really enjoy what IS in there and probably learn something. About half the selections are full pieces, not excerpts, but the stuff pulled from bigger works is well chosen and you don't feel left hanging. It's just over 300 pages.

Like Davis' previous book on Super Stockers, this one's a keeper. Unlike that one, this one has a wealth of color photographs. And Davis supplements the pix with interesting, well-researched text. Anyone with an interest in this class or drag racing history in general will love this book. An A+ effort.

I red this book once and about thirty years ago. I remained immediately impressed by the original and strange way to face problems of communications between traders, brokers and the entire world around the stock exchanges of the world. After so many years, I still remember the intriguing profoundness of its contents and now I know how the entire financial world is totally dominated by these unsolved problems of communication much more that by rationale behaviour and logic reactions of people involved.
