I read one of these books (Something about a Soldier)standing up in the UC Berkeley Library. It is a wonderful, evocative well written account that is funny and moving. I finally made a photocopy of it. It's that good. The second book (I was looking for a Strret) I read when a friend brought back a rare copy from the UK. It is haunting and beautifully written, about a time foreign to most of us.

His prose is wonderful and should be savored. These books are among his finest.

Mapsco is the true authority when it comes to making maps for Texas cities. Just like the Dallas County edition (which has been published for fifty years), this guide maps the whole area- even the smallest streets, with two types of maps: an overview one, and another that is detailed. There's also a section with maps of sporting and arts venues in the DFW area, the airport, ISD boundaries, and zip codes. Considering the rapid growth in Plano and Frisco (400%! ), they are very up to date. Any driver needs this in the Dallas area!

This street atlas is amazing. I have the AZ atlas and the Philip's OS atlas, but this one is much better than both of those. I was extremely fortunate to happen on this at the Oxford Services on the M40, and helped me negotiate London with ease, which is a lot to say for a foreign traveler. Firstly, it has a lot better coverage, literally everything inside M25 and bonus things i.e. Welwyn Garden City, Guildford, Windsor, etc. The entire domain of the GLA (except a square mile of easternmost Havering) is covered. No other atlas does that. Secondly, the clarity is amazing. Yes, the Philip's map is has a slightly more intimate scale, but these maps are sharper than those. These are the source maps for the London: A Photographic Atlas. Lastly, it shows a lot of pertinent information that other maps, especially the A-Z Map, lack, e.g., borough boundaries, the road color scheme, etc. Buy this, you won't regret it.

If you are not familiar with this book, it is a joke, and a pretty good one. The pages are all blank. It was published in 1987; today, after ENRON et al., it probably needs to be updated with a new edition with more blank pages.

I'd really liked this book as it presents the latest work being done by the top Animation Studios. It provides a deep insight into the subject and is really an encouraging work

This a readable book by a very successful man, who shares the basis of his success (and of others he's worked with, including Norton Simon). He is a noncomformist in a business suit, who has questioned orthodoxy and the status quo, to the benefit of his bank account. I'm surprised it is out of print, because it deserves to be the business classic that the lesser (but still valuable) WHAT THEY DON'T TEACH YOU AT HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL is.

As a personal investor, I found this book very insightful. Dr. Cohen masterfully details risk and what it means to investment goals. A must have for a serious investor in this crazy market!

This is a must for conservation education professionals. The numerous indexes and summary descriptions of organizations are wonderful.

this book is the best book we have found to date.our 6 month old little girl will not put it down. actually we just had to buy another one because her is almost wore out.AWSOME BOOK!
