Photographs vividly show sample gang tattoos
In Gangs And Their Tattoos: Identifying Gangbangers On The Street And In Prison, Bill Valentine draws upon his twenty years of experience as a line office for the Nevada Department of Prisons to create an informed and informative reference presenting an overview of street and prison gangs, including their history, structure and common tactics, as well as their 'official' codes of conduct. Also included are street and prison gang signs, code words, and most especially, their various skin tattoos associated as associated with each gang. Illustrations, sketches, and photographs vividly show sample gang tattoos, while the text carefully notes the origin of the most common symbols. Gangs And Their Tattoos is an accurate and very strongly recommended reference for law enforcement, sociologists, youth workers, and anyone else with an personal or professional interest in contemporary gang cultures in or out of prison.

Gangs and Their Tattoos : Identifying Gangbangers on the Str
This book was simply, great. As a Gang Investigator I found this book to be extremely accurate, up-to-date and highly valuable. This book gives you concrete identifiers that have remained constant in some gangs for 20+ years. I have personally seen some of these tattoos on gang members. This is probably THE manual to have if this is your field. You can not get any more specific information outside of the law enforcement relm.

A Garden Carried IN The Pocket A Magic Button to Wall Street

A Fun Way to Learn About the Stock Market
A Garden Carried in the Pocket by Edith Nisberg is a delightful story about Russell and Joy, two teenagers on a quest to understand the volatility of the stock market.

Ms. Nisberg has an incredible ability to navigate the reader through the perplexities of the stock market by presenting its components through the eyes of the inquisitive main character, Russ. Russ and his sister, Joy, decide to use the money that their grandmother gave them in order to buy 100 shares of Latitude and Longitude, a brokerage house that they encounter after pressing a magical elevator button that leads them to the company's location, the North Pole. Their hopes are soon dashed when they discover that shortly after their investment deal is made, their shares originally priced at $1.00 are now worth only 2 cents a share - a significant loss of $108.00.

Russ and Joy's initial despair turns into hope as they master a plan to not only get back the money that their grandmother gave them, but to also benefit other college-bound youngsters. Their plan entails marketing Latitude and Longitude's latest book with one twist - those who find the picture of the four-leaf clover in the back of the book would be entitled to 100 shares of Latitude and Longitude. Moreover, the profits would be earmarked to go into a college scholarship fund. Therefore, Russ and Joy set out on their dream endeavor. Their father, initially dubious about the execution of their plan, finally agrees to contact his good friend, Mr. Flound-Ar, the president of the publishing company of Latitude and Longitude. (Their mother also has an active role since she is on the Board of Latitude and Longitude.) After negotiating the advertisement at school and on the web, the responses for the book begin to pour in. As planned, a young person from every continent wins 100 shares of the company, thus providing a source of money for the college scholarships.

As in the real-life situation, Russ and Joy discover that the profit from their plan is not instantaneous, but slow and gradual. However, they learn the true lesson that "the stock market is not an exact science" (p.58)

This book is a useful and fun guide for readers of all ages who wish to learn about the stock market. Enjoy!

Business is murder
This clever series where the motive is always money has a banker who naturally can put his finger on the clues. This one is great outing with rival researchers claiming the rights to a break- through tomato--one that can stand up to travel ans still taste like something--wouldn't that be great. Mixing the profit motive and academic pride proves to be a deadly combination. Violence in the greenhouses and among the footnotes. A fast paced mystery with an orginal and credible plot.

Nice and tence
A good mystery-boo

Hagstrom New York City Five Borough Atlas, Large Scale Edition (2nd Ed)

Other editions available too!!!
Hagstrom NYC 5-Borough Atlas is the definitive one. But this price actually isn't that bad; THIS edition is the deluxe laminated version. Caveat emptor: do a search; Amazon also has the large-format spiral bound and pocket sizes ... for the correct (less expensive) price (and you even save a buck over Hagstrom's own website).

Best maps on the market
Amazon is no bargain on these maps. You are better off shopping elsewhere. As a stockholder I am very disappointed with this section. Zero savings plus shipping. New York City & 5 boroughs map is 3x's the price than in the stores, unless you made a mistake. All titles that I need are not current, cost to much and to boot BACKORDERED!

Baby Bert is a hit!
Normally, our twins love Elmo books the best, but this is one of their favorites. The book is fun to read aloud and is easy to hold and turn the pages. The simple text and pictures are clear enough for them to understand without a lot of clutter. I often find my daughter flipping through the pages by herself and she's only 18 months old.

A Favorite of All
My one-year-old son loves this book. All his friends who come over love it as well. When I finish reading it and start reading another one, they hand the book back to me so I can read it again. Great pictures they can relate to (crib, shirt, socks, banana, etc.)

Holy Ghost Revival on Azusa Street: The True Believers Part II: More Eyewitness Accounts
Published in Paperback by Christian Life Books (01 July, 1999)
Author: Larry Martin
Amazon base price: $7.99
Average review score:

The BEST
Not only is this the best book I've read on the Azusa outpouring but the best author. Dr. Larry Martin has done an excellent job of presenting his material so you feel like you're living in that time period. I highly recommend this book or any of his other writing to anyone that wants to know more about Pentecost at the turn of the century.

Another Wonderful Book by Larry Martin
This sequel to the first "True Believers" is also a collection of first hand testimonials from people who received the Pentecostal experience at Azusa. It is very moving to read in their own words how these men and women received their supernatural touch from God and went all over the world carrying the message of the Gospel and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Simply put, this is an awesome book!

The Game Is Afoot!
This is a grand re-telling of the seemingly ageless story of Holmes and Watson, this time from a punk perspective. The artwork is edgy (yeah, I know; but it is) and the story a grand piece of work. Sherlockians everywhere muyst buy this, but be warned: it ain't your father's Holmes.

exciting alternate london murder mystery with a punk background

A ten-year-old's coming of age
Ann McLaughlin's House On Q Street tells of a family which moves to Washington in 1942 when war is preoccupying the country. A ten-year-old's coming of age in this time of conflict is recounted in a moving story of change both personal and political.

Growing Up on the Homefront: Love, Fear and Responsibility
Ann McLaughlin's novel The House on Q Street captures the spirit of togetherness and the stress of the WW II homefront perfectly. As you read this book, you are growing up alongside Joey Lindsten the 10 year old narrator as she encounters the joys and frustrations of moving from childhood into adolescence during a time of tremendous personal and societal upheaval. Her loving family is fractured as her father is consumed with work on a top secret project and distracted by an extramarital affair. How Joey, her sister Madeline, and their mother cope is portrayed with realism and compassion against a background filled with urgency and evocative detail. The news, the music, the victory gardens, scrap drives and rationing are all there. You really come to care and admire the characters, their courage and determination to fulfill their responsibilities and perhaps find a little love in these very uncertain times. There is a sense of selflessness and sacrifice for the common good that is a refreshing reminder of how it once was and could be again. This is a wonderful book, and it is definitely the best I have read this year.
