Straight to the point on what it takes to make it.
I have been involved with a network marketing company for a little over a year but basically had no direction. Sometimes what your upline tells you to do feels so unnatural but I knew their had to be another way. This book is it. I keep buying books on sales but this was the one specifically geared to what I have to do to succeed: network. What he says makes so much common sense. He gets you ready mentally ( don't worry even this is more reallistic than a lot of the dribble I have come accross on programming the sub-conscience(important, but we'll do that later show me how to make some $$$) then we get to work. It covers all aspects of the business and those I didn't think of.Very eye-opening thinking out of the box-type excellent book. I have been more active in the days of reading this book than I have in almost nine months. Whenever I feel a slump, distracted discouraged I pick up this book. Get this and Make Your First Million in Network Marketing by Mary Christensen. Although the title sounds a bit corny it is extremely extremely practical no-hype strait-forward advice (like I said the title bites). Also Selling Among the Wolves w/o Joining the Pack is the best book on selling period. These 3 books are the foundations of my business library & take common sense no bull approach and I appreciate them for it.

This book has become my network marketing Bible.
As a somewhat successful network marketer I read this book looking for insights for myself and those in my "downline." I immediately bought 20 more copies and sent them out to those seeking success in networking. It is easy to understand and is backed by the credibility of someone who can lead by experience.

Author successfully practices what he preaches.
I have read the book twice and implemmented many of the stated priciples into my own business with a highly satisfactory degree of success. Butwin is an authentic and intuitive coach in network marketing... but most of all duplicable! Having been the recipient of his wisdom for three years, I have put into practice his methods both from studying the book and observing the way he practices what he preaches. For anyone considering a new career in NWM, or anyone wanting to kick their present business upward to the next level of success, this industry classic is a must.

A super guide for young adults starting out in the real life
This book is of great assistance for young folks starting to enter either the business world, college or for young marrieds. Should be part of every job service office. Takes the time to explain in easy to understand language the important requirements like getting a job, budgets and even finding and caring for an apartment.

If you are a first time job seeker, you need this book
As an owner of a professional typing service, I type resumes for a variety of people. However, the young people who are starting out have no idea what is necessary to write a good resume, or what is necessary to get their first interview and land a job. My time is limited, so even though I previously spent a considerable amount of time trying to assist these young people,I can now refer to them to this wonderful book. It is written in language that all teens can understand, with lots of humor, recipes, helpful hints about dressing for that all important interview, and sure fire ways to land the job you want. I loved it.

An indispensable guide to life after high school!
This little book is packed with helpful, no-nonsense suggestions on everything from getting a job to how to prepare nutritious, economical meals. The chapters on managing your finances are especially noteworthy. If someone had given me this book when I graduated high school, I'd be a millionaire! A must for that special teenager.

Sweeney Todd (The Demon Barber of Fleet Street): Vocal Score
Published in Paperback by Warner Brothers Publications (March, 1997)
Author: Stephen Sondheim
Amazon base price: $100.00
Average review score:

Sondheim's Sweeney
Sweeney Todd is an amazing musical full of richness and passion. Everything that Sondheim expresses teaches you something about life. It is a deep musical and therefore having the book makes the understanding of it much easier. Sondheim's riddles and word games are fascinating and invigorating.
This book is a MUST HAVE for all true Sondheim fans and for any Opera or Broadway fan. It's wonderful to use when performing in recitals and fun to have to refer to. It's a wonderful book and musical. And I, Joanna, was named after it. "I feel you Johanna and one day I'll steal you!"
Enjoy!!

Magnificent score of a magnificent show
"Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" is, at one and the same time, one of the best musicals ever written and one of the best operas of the 20th Century. The story, which has been adapted and re-adapted over and over again since its first appearance in the 1830s (as a serial thriller called "The String of Pearls"), concerns a homicidal barber and his landlady, who, er, disposes of the bodies through her meat pie shop. In this version, Sweeney Todd is a tragic antihero, driven to insanity by the misfortunes heaped upon him by people with much power and no scruples. The story is tight and dramatic, both the music and libretto are superb, and the ensemble style of the chorus offers solos, chamber groups, as well as full-chorus numbers.

This edition of the vocal score is taken straight from the composer's score, offering a clean, clear representation of Sondheim's intentions. Voice parts and solo lines are clearly and consistently marked, and there are very few awkward page-turns. Best of all, and this is all but unique among scores for Broadway shows, THIS SCORE CONTAINS ALL THE DIALOGUE. This is the complete opera, with all of Sondheim's score and all of Wheeler's book.

To put it simply, this is a must-have for all devotees of opera and/or musicals.

wow... just... wow...
This is the most amazing score you will ever hear in your life! It is simply amazing! Everything is SOOOO very heartfelt and emotional... yet intelligent!

A beautiful Book
I am the coordinator of the Albert Lea Art Center in Albert Lea Minnesota and my July, 2003 show is the original illustrations of Joni Oeltjenbruns. They are fabulous. She is a great illustrator and this book is one of her best.

Halloween with a New Twist
I truly enjoyed this book. Lisa Bullard's use of a Trick-or-Treating expedition to show the relationship between a boy and his new stepfather was masterful. The unexpected turn of events at the end was sweet and surprising. Oeltjenbruns illustrations evoke the coziness of home, family, and fall.
If you're looking for something different and new for Halloween this is the book.

A Treat Without Tricks!
With an amazing understanding of the young mind, Lisa Bullard has written another book for today's children. Reminding the reader that the changing family structures of today can be a great opportunity for a child, that it can expand their horizons, Trick-or-Treat on Milton Street has a way of feeling like it was written just for you, about you,or about your best friend. This story of a new stepdad and a new neighborhood will hit home for both children and parents. We learn that a new parent can bring you fun, friends, and new experiences. Joni Oeltjenbruns' art just keeps getting better! A great gift book for Halloween, the child who is moving or getting a new parent, or for the avid picture book collector.

If Maya likes it, so do I!!!
I just got this book and love Maya Angelou's introduction of Julianne Malveaux. I'm enjoying these essays, as well. I'm more familiar with Julianne Malveaux as a televison commentator than as a writer, but she seems an equally talented writer as talker! I highly reccomend this book

A must read from one of our best "talking heads".
Julianne Malveaux is one of my favorite talking heads. On CNN, PBS, and MSNBC, she has a feisty "take no prisoners" style of debate. She is unapologetically left and feminist, but she is also quirky, funny, and thought-provoking. This collection of columns is great! She covers lots of economic issues, deals with women and family issues, and also moral issues. My problem with this book is that the essays are too short, and so is the book. I am waiting to read 200 pages in this wonderful woman's voice. Some of my favorite columns: the column where she compares Long Term Capital Management with gamblers; the USA Today column in which she talks about buying her home; a rejoinder to the organizers of the Million Women's March (she is no fan of either the Million Man or Million Woman March, and she explains why); a tribute to Betty Shabazz. This isn't a book you'll read cover to cover. You'll pick it up and put it down, and pick it up again. It is so full of facts, opinions, statistics, and provocation that I expect to be using it as a resource for quite some time.

This Sistah Knows About Black Dollars!!!
Want to know where the money is and isn't being spent, read this book. The Sistah has BIG SKILLS.

Informative and entertaining and very interesting
I have just finished reading Michael Yergin's new novel Kill Talk- a true story about the Mafia's plans to take over the federal prison system and the kidnapping amd murder of a beautiful young Chicago woman who is in the mob. A great read-could not put it down. I anxiously await the movie. Someone told be about Yergin's book on wealth building-I read it and found it very well written and it showed the diversity of one of Chicago's most talented writers(in my humle opinion)

Informative and entertaining and very interesting
I have read two of Michael Yergin's previous books on other subjects and some of his screenplays. Similiar to his cousin Danny Yergin (who has won two Pulitzer's;) Michael has a keen wit and great sense of humor.

Exceptional easy ot read primer on rare coin investing
I had always wanted to understand the rare coin business as more than just a hobby. This book gave me a great start and valuable insight into the world of numismatics

The Witch is a lovely story I will always remember
Dear Mr. Blacke,

I came across your book, The Witch of Burchard Street in a small bookstore in Sarasoto FL and I enjoyed it so much, I had to write a note to let you know.

I also had a mentor who still talks to me in memory all the time. He was a third generation psychic who may have appeared too rough and too tough to the outside world, but he taught me more than I have ever learned from anyone else. He and your Haddie shared many of the same thoughts and characteristics. Thank you for sharing.

Blessings, Arielle

Wow! What an eye-opener about life!
About the Author from the cover: John D. Blacké was born in Watertown, New York at the beginning of the Second World War in 1941. Until he was eight years old he was under the constant influence of his grandfather, who was an Indian shaman. With the Mohawk culture firmly tucked under his belt he began living what would seem a normal life, but he soon found that the prevailing Christian beliefs didn't coincide with the faith taught to him in his early years. This theological confusion led to a series of traumatic experiences that culminated in a chance meeting at the age of thirteen with the "neighborhood witch," Helen (Haddie) Clubberson. In 1962 he became a priest in her coven. After her death in 1965, John became a wanderer and traveled extensively until 1974 when he became involved with a practicing witch by the name of Verot BnSulka, who initiated him as a high priest in his secret order in Canada. Still a wanderer, he left the order and investigated several other groups, including the Inner Peace Movement and the Rosicrucians, AMORC. In 1979, back in Watertown, John was initiated as Lord of Smiths in a Heathen Warrior Group known as the Witan. In 1989 he formed the Moody Hill Theod where he was known as Lord Ealdoraed. At present he has returned to college to obtain three more degrees, teaching French, Art and Theology.

An eye opener to life, fantastic truths that touch the soul
What a wonderful book for all ages of people to read when they are seriously searching to understand life, religion and self. The words seep into your heart and awaken a feeling of truths. I'll treasure it forever. Thank you John Blacké for your wisdom and insights, the book really helped me tune into what is real about life.

A riveting, exciting book
This book is riveting, even electrical, for anybody who wants an inside look at the music business. The selections are in interview form, so as you read, it feels like the music stars are sitting in nearby chairs as they detail inside stories, opinions and perspectives. The author/editor who put it together, Daved Zimmer, did a fantastic job, and no one came better prepared for the job. When Crosby was arrested, I saw that Mr. Zimmer was the one who the New York Times sought out for comment. Even if you are only distantly interested in CSN&Y, but are fascinated with the music biz, you will find the book hits the bulls-eye.

An Essential Read For All Music Fans
Thirty years ago my dad "accidentally" flooded the garage, destroying my carefully harvested collection of UK and US publications containing interviews with, articles about and occasional references to CSNY, who for me were "the" band of the early to late 1970's. This latest manifestation of Dave Zimmer's love for the music of, and fascination about the individuals in, the USA's first "supergroup" means I now have access again to many of those writings.

Ranging from 1970 to 2002 in terms of first publication, the articles and interviews cover the development of CSNY from a self confident, but untested, aggregation of individuals through to being elder statesmen of rock capable of selling out tours of major venues in the early 21st century. Although the primary ingredient is pieces that focus specifically on the band as a whole, Zimmer leavens the mix with items that focus on the individuals, using them to cast a more oblique and often revealing light on the activities and behaviour of the "main" band. Not surprisingly, the majority of the articles come from US publications; that said, these include both the usual suspects - primarily "Rolling Stone" and writers such as Cameron Crowe - and also less well known (at least in the UK) publications such as "Crawdaddy" and "Creem". There are, however, some significant pieces from UK publications such as "Melody Maker" and UK writers such as Roy Carr and Vicki Wickham.

Music is the central interest of Zimmer's selection of pieces. CSNY were, however, notable for the nature of their personal, as well as professional, lives and the issues are not shied away from. Some of it requires reading "between the lines", but such articles as Roy Carr's interview with David Geffen, Zimmer's own major interview with Graham Nash and the pieces on David Crosby's drug addiction deal with the issues head on.

Inevitably, there are some personal favourites that didn't survive what must have been a rigorous editing process. Dave Zimmer is, however, to be massively congratulated for delivering a consistent and coherent narrative thread and fitting together the jigsaw like pieces of 30 years of writing to present a clear and illuminating picture of one of the major popular musical outfits of the late 20th century.
