Divine Strategies for Success is very inspiring and uplifting. It lets you know that to be successful you have to follow the principals of the greatest book ever written the Bible. It is easy to understand and read. I really enjoyed it and may go back and read it again.

Karla Williams has introduced an extremely practical and well written book for those of us who seek to raise the bar in the arena of Annual Funds and Donor Development. I have many, many books in my library that focus on fund-raising strategies, and this is the primary one that I will be using to train my staff and volunteers. Why? Ms. Williams not only presents a world-view that is compatible with our organization but then presents very practical, step by step strategies to implement this vision of donor development. She begins with a fairly in depth and clear presentation of the history of fund-raising (which helps to put things into perspective) and then moves on to what she believes is the most effective and responsible paradigm for funding non-profits: one that honors and respects the donor constituency in addition to raising the needed funds for our various causes. The book features numerous case illustrations, easy to interpret graphs, and an integrated annual develoment strategy that can be fine tuned for any organization. Bottom line: Yes it may seem expensive but it is simply one of *the* best resources for annual funds on the market today.

I highly recommend this book. The author has a very accessible, clear writing style. She lays out the pros and cons of various options very well. It has really helped me plan and improve my annual campaign.

It tells you what monster you get when you breed monsters,where to go,what monsters look like,there stats,and gets you started.

This book has everything you need for these games and I mean it. I'm really tough on hint guides, especially when they give you less help as you get toward the end when you need it most, as many Prima guides do, but this one provided thorough coverage all through. In fact it went beyond the call of duty, giving a complete monster index, complete breeding help, personality charts, lists of what monsters can be found in all worlds (including magic key worlds), locations of all items, the complete scouting report on all bosses and colossium opponents, and other useful trivia. It's for both games and even goes into the possible interactions between them. Believe me, the monster guide alone is enough reason to get this book, so do it.

Darzen Marovic is my favorite chess author. It has been said that his style is "laconic" and "pedagogic," and although I agree with these descriptions, I disagree with any negative connotations with those words. Marovic excels at imparting maximum important practical knowledge with the minimum of verbiage. I know of no one who can explain a critical moment of a chess game with such succinct clarity. For instance, here is the note accompanying Ljuobojevic's move 12... d5 in his game against Anand (p. 168): "a move before white is ready to play g5, Black strikes back in the centre. His king is still in the centre and the prospects of castling quite unclear, but for the time being the king is well protected where it is and, besides, the threat of g5 must be met radically." Any of you who are reading "The Method in Chess" by Dorfman will recognize the emphasis on the center coupled with position of the kings which goes into the dynamic evaluation of a position. Marovic adds important variations, often with an insight into why a player did or did not choose a move. There is a heavy emphasis on the Sicilian Defence in this book. I have admired Marovic's work for years, particularly "Play the Queen's Gambit" and "Play the King's Indian Defence," both of which are excellent instructive opening manuals. We are truly lucky that Marovic has now written more general treatises on pawn play, in beautiful GAMBIT publications works. Another reviewer points out the "overall quality" of this work. To me, it has an eye-popping quality. When I study Marovic, I feel that I have hope, after all, to understand the center, dynamics, and the game of chess. This book is very special, and it is quite meaty at 256 pages.

This book will someday be a classic, to be on your shelf alongside works such as Pawn Power in Chess and Winning Pawn Structures by Baburin, and the great works by Ludek Pachman. Not many GMs can write like Marovic.

Koei has done it again! They have created an advanced in-depth war game that pits you in one of four kingdoms- Wu, Shu, and Wei. Not only do you get to slay hundreds of warriors but, you work to achieve your ultimate prize: China. This isn't a standard strategy/war based game either. Its action/adventure! So, you actually are the hero you pick! I have found no bad specs about the game yet except that some may grow bored of the game easily. All I can say to those people is: TRY HARDER! That's all I have to say, bye now!

Just finished reading, marking, dog-earing this book! This is an excellent sourcebook for anyone, particularly business professionals, who want perspective on e-Commerce and e-Business. In fact, I wonder if the book has been mis-titled somewhat. In this five-chapter book, only the last chapter or two is directed to helping accountants and other assurance-service professionals understand their position in the e-Business space. The first three chapters are worth the price of the book to anyone interested in a fast, but in-depth, overview of how e-Business has emerged, its basic technology, and where it is likely headed. I particularly enjoyed the authors' effort to incorporate a lot of specific examples of successful and not-so-successful companies. The footnotes and references to each chapter are also extraordinary! Like most of us in the human race, I don't often read the footnotes. However, with this book, I was marking and crosschecking references with abandon. We're all struggling to "keep up" with the e-Business race. As I read this book, I felt like I finally fully understood a number of key issues of e-Business-despite having been a CFO of a fast-moving e-Commerce startup! I certainly recommend this read to anyone who feels that they might be slipping a little in "the race."

In this stunning book, the author chronicles the cultural, religious, economic and political developments which led to the construction of the pyramids. Divided in three parts, the author provides convincing evidence in relation to the five topics discussed herein, i.e. administration, contacts with foreign lands, establishment of divine kingship, royal tombs, and early Egyptian religion. A remarkable publication with great photography. Highly recommended for the interested student or scholar.

This book replaces W.B. Emery's Archaic Egypt as the standard English-language introduction to the early dynatic period. It is a fine synthesis of the last century of work in the field and in specialist journals, including many recent discoveries (e.g., cemetary U at Umm-el-Qaab) and the most important discussions (e.g., Seidlmayer,Renee Friedman). Especially strong in dealing with the "new" archeology, the most important original contribution of this work is its analysis of royal administration in the 1st through 3rd dynasties. If the book does have a weakness, it is in its catalog-like treatment of religion: but the major references are given for the reader to follow out even here.
