There a lots of how to books out there but Behind Bars is something different. This book is assecessible to the general public and gives its readers, an inside perspective on prison. The language is clear and its points are made simply and directly. As an educator who has worked with "street kids," this book will be a useful tool at letting my students appreciate what it means to become ajudicated. Behind Bars is a "how to book" that you hope you will never need, or that your family or friends will ever need. But, on the other hand, maybe we do need to read this book so we get insight on this huge American industry. In order to be a well informed citizen I believe you should read this book.

If you are looking for a comprehensive guide to the native fishes of Mississippi, you need look no further. Not only does this work include all native and exotic species of fish in Mississippi but also extensive biological information on each. This volume should prove useful to not only a well versed field biologist, but also anyone interested in fish.

I have to say up front that I am a bit prejudiced here. Dr. Ross is responsible for my current interest in fishes and I have been looking forward to this book for a while. That being said let me tell you what is good about this book... #1 The keys are outstanding, they are made so that the expert or layman can use them. Key identification points are well illustrated and explained #2 The species accounts are the best I have ever seen. There is excellent information on the biology and conservation concerns of each species. There is also a brief section on the meaning of each scientific name that will be of interest to the professional and beginner. #3 Dr. Ross included an excellent glossary and bibliography that will make further research and understanding easy. #4 There is also a section on the history of Ichthyology in the Southeast US in general and Mississippi in particular.

If you are interested in the fishes of the Southeast US this book will be useful and entertaining. It will be indispensable if you study fishes in any Mississippi river or Gulf drainage. I can remember my first day in class, thinking that we where just going to look at a bunch of minnows. I know better now, and this book will explain why.

I bought this book not expecting to really enjoy it. I just thought that it would be a nice read. (I'm a 14-year-old guy). Well I read the book in one sitting. I was enthralled in it. I related to almost every page.

If you are a parent and you have a teenage son or if you are a teenage guy this book is for you. Trust me this book offers no sugarcoated information it is completely straight to the point with perfect examples to go along with it.

The excellent explanation of profound finance thoery using plain language and example with suitable analogy makes the contents clear and concise for student studying under instruction or privately. Besides, the manual provide short listed main points with sufficient exercises giving students practices of relevant practical hand-on experience on real life calculation. Nevertheless, this manual should be used together with the original text which is a comprehensive guide towards corporate finance in theory & practice.

This text is for intermediate level business and finance students, and is very informative and well written. I read it two times with great pleasure. It is not boring, even for those outside the field (I must admit I did not work the problems though!). I highly recommend it.

100 poems and a couple essays from Avant-garde poet Ban'ya Natsuishi. This book is great. If you love haiku and want to know how it is being practiced by modern haijin this is basicly the only book you'll find. No need to worry though the gendai haiku in this volume are great! These works are especially easy to understand but not over simplified. Ban'ya Natsuishi is working outside the limitations of kigo to bring a universal haiku, that will stand along Basho and Issa and a standard in Haiku.

This book puts a high value on clarity and logic. Time invested with this book is repaid with UNDERSTANDING.

After reading the Sound And The Fury,one cannot but describe Faulkner's book as a work of genius.It is so full of creativeness and passion that you just go on turning pages without realising.It is a story told from four perspectives, of the disintegration of a Southern family. Indeed the book presents a daunting challenge for all readers.Though difficult to read, the novel left me in awe at the emotions possible from a single string of words.The Sound And The Fury attains heights and depts of expression that are truly breathtaking, it is an unforgettable work that richly rewards the reader's efforts.
