OK, I know you probably get tired of hearing about how great all the books are at reviews, but n this case, it is nothing but the truth! With this book and its tips, my friend's son went from being an average, ok reader to being one of the best in his class! She bought this book at the beginning of the summer, and by the end, her son was great! Just 10 miutes every night made such a big difference! Now he loves going to the library with his "big-boy" card and spending the time at night with Mom... He requires it to go to sleep! Buy this book-- it really works! :)

What a joy to have creative and worthwhile things to do with a child. The ideas are simple and doable. The motivation behind each activity is clear. And what a gift to have suggestions for books to read. What a time saver!

I was very impressed with the Alpha-Kids Level 1 Readers. My son is gaining the confidence he needs to move on to Level 2 Alpha-Kids already. My 4 year old can even read them! Real photographs give clues and sentence repetition makes it easy for them to pick up on words they can easily recognize.

This book features the Winnie the Pooh characters getting ready for Christmas (e.g., Roo bakes cookies, Tigger collects pine cones) and opening presents on Christmas day. Both the left- and right-facing pages lift up (flaps) to reveal more pictures and text underneath, resulting in a three-page spread. One interesting feature is that some flaps open horizontally while others open vertically. There's not much of a story, and the under-flaps don't always relate to the covering page, but the toddler set probably won't notice. Bright, simple illustrations, and durable pages make this a winner.

The title of this book is deceiving. I was expecting 10 minute exercises that I could do with my son. What I found were a couple 10 minute exercises and a bunch of exercises that range from 15 minutes to half an hour.

The book does contain some fun and interesting projects.

This book has been a real joy. The wonderful lessons and interesting pages have kept my children really enjoying thier early learning. Out of all the books on our shelves, this is the one we welcome day after day. It is a tool that can be used over and over and never seems to grow old. I would certainly recomend this book to anyone looking to teach a todler or strenthen the skills of their first or even second grader.

Although this book is a little out of date, considering the Internet is ever-changing, this book gives young readers safe places to travel on the Internet. Found in it's pages are reviews of children's (and children-interested) websites, written by kids/teens.
