I originally thought that the main focus of this book would be about veterinarians, in fact, it covers the whole range of animal related careers, from working in a pet store to becoming a vet, and all the places you could go after you've become a vet. It has a very helpful chapter on the process of getting in to vet school. The financial aid and acceptance policies are different from those of other schools, and all fall under a single overseeing board for all the schools. All the schools are listed here along with contact info for each. All very detailed.

The book was very instrumental in helping put together a strategy for landing a medical sales job. It was also very educational about the different types of medical companies and what they look for in sales people. I highly recommend the book to anyone looking for a career in medical sales.

I'm a high school student and I follow politics closely. I've found the Opposing Viewpoints series to be a reliable and unbiased source of discussion of current issues.

This particular book is divided into eight chapters: gun control, abortion, affirmative action, alcohol, capital punishment, assisted suicide, genetic engineering, and smoking. Every chapter contains several pairs of opposing articles each regarding different aspects of each issue (i.e., "The Death Penalty Is Moral" vs. "The Death Penalty is Immoral" and "The Death Penalty Deters Capital Crimes" vs. "The Death Penalty Does Not Deter Capital Crimes"). How could any political junkie pass up a book like this?

The articles are engaging and informative; most are taken from recent editorial pages of magazines, newspapers, and books. Some are written by political heavyweights (e.g., George Pataki, Jesse Jackson), others by issue groups (e.g., American Life League, the Wine Institute), and others by columnists and commentators. They are certainly NOT redundant or boring.

As Opposing Viewpoints says, "Those who do not know their opponent's arguments do not completely understand their own." Buy this book!

This book is a good "how-to" for nursery managers serious about producing large quantities of compost for their tree nurseries. The book explains why the use of 100% organic mixes is desirable and how to produce them. The book is primarily intended for forest nursery managers in developing countries, but is applicable anywhere.

This book is fantasic! EASY to read and follow the directions. Colorful, simple photographs and diagrams guide you through each project. I am sorry it is out-of-print. I found it in our school library! A must for teachers!

Origami 6 contains some of the cutest creatures in this series of sixteen books. This book contains a model for a fox, a delightful ladybug, a pinwheel, a crown, a panda, a seal that can balance a cube (however the pattern for the cube is not included), a three deminsional UFO, and a simple star. Most of these models are complicated and will require the assistance of an adult. The ladybug is a wonderful spring and summer project for kids.

Visual instructions are easy to follow. The designs are simple enough to remember, but look complicated when completed. Amaze others with this newly learned talent.

This book is an incredible design tool. I originally picked it up as an art teaching tool for my daughters, it was fun and deceptively simple to follow. The finished projects are so sophisticated and professional looking that I've been using it in my graphic design work. What a find!

Simple and easy to understand diagrams make this the perfect origami beginner's book. The addition of an abundance of origami squares in a range of different colors plus a load of two different patterned squares sets an origami novice up for folding for quite a while. I highly recommend this book to the new origami folder.
