I have never been interested in decoupage but when I looked through this book I found tons of projects I needed to get started on right away. The pictures are very descriptive and the author's side line comments help you further your imagination. Gotta go, I have to do some decoupage!

The poetry in this book is strong. I was impressed by the realism of it all. It is written in real language.

I am currently learning about California Native American History, but there are so few books out there. The ones that do exist such as Indians of CA: The Changing Image by James Rawls & Strangers In A Stolen Land by Richard Carrico are informative, but rely on newspapers and Euro-American opinion as a primary source. Albeit important, these books do not reflect Native American perspectives at all. This biography is the only text I know of that attempts to fill this gap. I especially like this book because I grew up in San Diego and to learn about what this county looked like 100 years ago moves me. Knowing the places that Delfina Cuero mentions sometimes brings me to tears. It is an invaluable piece of history, and it is an inspirational account of human resilience.

I will never have the right words to express my love for Walt Whitman's writing and mind. His, "Democratic Vistas", are a phenomenal piece of literature. He explores the concepts of a true democracy. He reminds us of the values of education, love, and unity. His democracy becomes a utopia for us all.

So far as his other writings. I found his short stories very interesting. I especially liked, Death of a Schoolboy. His journal entries are very moving. In particular his mentionings of the Civil War. The history Whitman saw in his lifetime was very dence. The perspective he gives among an explosion of change and advancment is enlightening. I think it should be a requirement for living in America, to read Whitman's Vistas.

Whitman proposed, optimistically, that America's shortcomings would be overcome in time: "by recognizing the worth of common people, dramatized especially in the selfless heroism of the Civil War soldiers; by cultivating both individuality and social unity; by having faith in the electoral process ..; by permitting women to develop fully in many ways; by seeing that America is steadily developing through its current practical, business-oriented phase toward a time when great 'bards' will arise, producing a true democratic literature that will instill much-needed religiosity and moral conscience into American life."

The book is devoted to the design aspect of Advertsing.

A very informative book, which contains sections on layout, art, production, broadcast advertising, et cetera.

One of the first advertising books I ever read and I still return to it from time to time.

This Book, as is Peter Berresford Ellis's Dictionaty of Celtic Mythology, is in my opinon deserve 6+ stars, not 5. "Irish Mythology" is not really covered in his "Celtic mythology book, Celtic Mythology is really a continuation of of this book, covering a much broader scope. I have over a dozen "Dictionaries and Encyclopedias of Celtic Mythology, Legend and Lore" and the scope and breadth of the information covered by Mr. Ellis is excellent. As you look up each entry, a full explanation is given, and if your curosity is peaked, it is easy to look up all other referances that are mentined in the text. Stories of Irish mythology, that I didn't fully grasp before, are very clear and understandable.

IF YOU ARE A PERSON THAT EARNS THEIR LIVING AS A RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONAL, YOU NEED THIS BOOK! PERIOD!

It is a wealth of information which includes sample letters to clients, forms, clauses, etc.

In my opinion, the VALUE goes way beyond the COST of the book.
