Her chapters concerning color schemes for bedrooms are integrated and flow excellently. For a complete remodel of the house we purchased, I felt a bit overwhelmed in having to make decisions for three bedrooms. I looked and walked away from many other bedroom design books. And then I discovered this one. Well lit and encompassing photography. Simple but valuable hints. Quick explanations of what moods and effects colors create. Color swatches you clip from the book to take with you when you start shopping. These are only a sample of what is provided to make your interior design process a joy. Purchase this book and your bedrooms will start to come together!

I was given this catalog recently as a holiday gift. I didn't know much about Shahn's late works. This catalog provides ample illustrations, discussion of key late paintings, as well as considers the importance of Shahn's ethnic heritage and involvement with the Left during the 1930s. A great look at a favorite painter.

I own quite a number of books on airbrushing, some very good, some average. This book is without a doubt THE definitive book about ALL aspects on airbrushing. It is an outstanding book in every respect.
It covers more aspects of airbrushing than any other book I have seen, it is superbly produced in full colour and the clarity of text and photography is as good as it gets. Do I sound enthusiastic, you can bet on that. If there was one book that I was restricted to on this subject, I would not hesitate in recomending this book, it is just so good.
I would recomend this book as THE BEST BOOK ON AIRBRUSHING YOU CAN BUY!, you will not be disapointed.

This book is an absolute must have if you are learning to paint(or draw) or polishing your skills.The author has given a detailed description of the various techniques involved in creating your art work.I personally love this book & always use it for reference.

I have been a professional faux painter for over 5 years. This is the book I turn to when a client is looking for something unusual. The photos provide endless, timeless finishes and designs. I have spent countless hours poured over Mr. Carter's book and I always find a little something in the pictures that I can turn into a 'new' look. The current 'in-style' colors may change, but that is the beauty of paint! Change the colors and you have a new look. As I always say, the best ideas usually begin as someone else's!

Compared to other books on this subject, which are sometimes overly complex, this is great encouragement to the amateur decorator. Each type of paint treatment is covered step-by-step, with photographs.

There are numerous full-color photographs on every page, which help the reader visualize how each technique might apply to their decorating needs.

The only drawback is that most of the photographs are of professionally painted walls, not amateur results. Nonetheless, this book is very helpful to those interested in dressing up their boring walls.

I'm a member of S.P.I.N, and Diana sent this book to me, and I found it really amazing. It shows a variety of innovating technics with an incredible photography and bookbinding. It has become a reference book for me and for my students in my atellier.

Even if like me, you never pick up a needle, you will find yourself creating textured designs in a variety of exciting ways. This beautiful book gives a whole new meaning to the word "embroidery".

The operative word here is "Creative". This book is the most helpful design book I have seen for any type of creative painting work. Although it is geared to watercolor; I work in many media with watercolor being the one I use the least frequent. The design and layout composition tips are beneficial to a variety of visual arts. A fashion designer friend even asked to borrow it. I love this book so much; its one of the few that I will never lend out since I had a hard time finding a copy; back in the pre-internet days. I hope he writes some more books!
