Sensational
The male character in this book is too real! The love he is searching for is at his fingertips. I could not put this book down. As a male reader I could certainly identify with the main character Moses. Thanks for giving him such strong morals. I thoroughly enjoy reading your books in particular because the male characters are men we can look up to from Cousins, to Thems Eves Daughters and now Letters. You have a loyal fan!

Sensational
This book was absolutely wonderful! I met the author in Greensboro, North Carolina at her book signing and she is absolutely beautiful inside and out! Once I spoke with her I could identify with the passion I felt jumping off the pages of her books. Letters is full of excitement. It's a wonderful read. There are no dull spots in this book. Anyone would love it. I appreciated meeting Ms. Dick in person so much I bought Cousins and Thems Eves Daughters. I don't know which one I love the best. Anybody can get into these books.

Twists & Turns
This book took me by surprise. I was capitivated from the very beginning. I like the way you write about social issues very tasteful. The ghost scene threw me for a curve, but I quickly recovered. I could not put this book down. The dialogue flows so well. Glad I ordered it you have a loyal fan. Will order the next book. I'm sure they are just as rich.

A tight, powerful story that lingers.
Like Kundera in T"he Book of Laughter and Forgetting," this author kept startling me with little reports on what it feels like to be unable to live unself-consciously.

"Much of what I write is simple truth, but even so, when you say it over and over, it feels like a lie."

Old Buddy Old Pal is a remembrance. But how do you recount the tale of a shared history? What's fair? What's true? The narrator, Burt, is too honest for nostalgia and too self-aware to be at ease with his past.

This book is about missed chances and what happens when a chance for perfect love (and the re-vision of self it offers) re-appears. I was completely absorbed by this thoughtful, contemporary tale of friendship between two men.

A good story made better w/ rich imagery, sybolism & irony.
Even readers who look no deeper than the surface of "Old Buddy, Old Pal" will find Mr. Laser's exploration of the boundaries friendships and relationships a worthwhile read. That is, the tension, the conflicts and the "universal truths" within the story - by themselves - are sufficient to keep the pages turning towards the book's surprising and satisfying finish. But readers who look beyond the simple "plot/story" of the book are in for a special treat. The author's skillful clipped-prose, present tense style lends itself well to developing the book's complex, multi-dimensional characters. Vivid imagery, subtle symbolism, and unexpected ironies await thoughtful readers seeking not merely a good story, but excellent writing as well.

A remarkable debut for a first time novelist!
With remarkable sensitivity, OLD BUDDY OLD PAL tells of the gradual dissolution of a college friendship over a 10 year period. There is a sub text of the alienation created by living in a big city. Mr. Laser switches effortlessly between the present and the past. Two great incidents describe a wedding ceremony held in an upstate Holiday Inn and attending a Yankee baseball game. Mr. Laser also has a gift for writing terse sentences which speak volumes (e.g. "That's what Thanksgiving is for...the reawakening of ancient enmities" and "It's just a convention of TV that friends hold no grudges, have no memories." I look forward to his next book.

Really good!
I like Pony Pals books a lot, even if I am getting a bit old for them. This book was really good. Lulu finds an old letter in a tree, and starts to discover a mystery of two girls who lived a long time ago. It was interesting to find out who the people were. ONE OF THE VERY BEST PONY PAL BOOKS!
I loved Stolen Ponies because it was about Acorn and he is a very cute pony and he plays tricks on Tommy and Mike. Anna owns Acorn and loves him very much. And in the beginning, Tommy and Mike keep on copying Anna because they come into the paddock and Lulu comes up behind them and blows her Pony Pal whistle in their ears! I have 33 Pony Pal books and they all were GREAT but this one is one of my favorites! The girls always outsmart Tommy & Mike in all 44 books! I recommend this book to girls who love ponies and adventures!

fun fun fun
Here is yet another board book by the makers on Rolie Polie Olie, the new retro cartoon on Disney. I highly recommend this book because of its' bright colors and cute story. It teaches kids about being pal and doing things together, whether you're siblings or not, that pals are the best no matter what. My two year old loves this book and I had to buy him a second copy because the first one got destroyed from reading it so much. It's part of our night time routine! It's a great purchase!

very cute
My two year old loves this book and has since he was a year old. It's a fun bright colored book about brothers and sisters. It has a great message about love and friendship. A must have for any Olie fan!

Rolie Polie is Okey Dokey!
My son loves Rolie Polie Olie (he is 15 months). It is a very wholesome show and the book is great. He loves spot the dog and the colors are very vibrant. We love this book and anything that has to do with Rolie.

The Chicken That Could Swim
I was so crazy about finding the mouse that I was dreaming about them at night. Regarding the sixth name, look on the first page where the publishing co. is named. The man who loves birds is reading the newspaper. Turn the book upside down and at the top of the page is the name Alonzo. Now I have a question: on the second to last page (So Nugget stayed with Silky), where is the mouse? Is just his head peaking out? Would love to know more about this author. Where is he from? Perhaps in a better world he will write more books to entertain young minds.

Thank you Mr. Adshead
Paul Adshead's books are my very favorite kids books, as an adult. I didn't discover this author until i was at a friend's house and had nothing to do...so i picked up the book on the coffee table, The Chicken That Could Swim. The author draws you into his world, and immediately you know if you have something very important in common, a hope for the future where animals would be at peace with man, and man at peace with the animals. Thank you Mr. Adshead for writing these books for very large kids also known as grown ups!

Truly entertaining
This was a fun book to read to my girls when they were young and now that they're older, they still classify it as one of their very favorites. The hidden pictures and words still continue to entertain both young and old in our family. Even though we've found them all, we tend to forget and have to search again.

Can Acorn do it? Read this book and find out!

The loss of a pony.
I thought this book was extremally sad I even cried during the bit with Ms Wiggens coming home. I have a pony and I would be devastated if he died(his name is Acorn!)

Ms Wiggens is training Anna and Acorn for the Wiggens Winter Festival. When she has to go to a painting show in Boston she asks Anna and her Pony Pals Pam and Lulu to visit her pony Winston and horse Picasso. The Pony Pals discover that Winston is sick so along with Acorn they help take care of him. Anna is convinced that Winston is okay but Pam and Lulu know the time has come. Can they help Anna say good-bye? Also with Winston on his death bed Anna isn't sure if there will be a pony leading the parade. Can Acorn do it? A very sad but nice book.
