This book is full of truly creative uses for old jeans - even those that are ready for the trash have "parts" that can be scavenged to embellish denim projects. The book has great photos, including step-by-step photos of the projects. The materials and supply lists and instructions are clear and consise. Projects range from decorative (and useful) pillows and wall hangings to practical purses and tote bags. There are also picture frames, Christmas ornaments, gift bags and a wonderful tree skirt, as well as baskets and pouches, book covers and locker organizers. The no-sew options for many projects make this a book that can be used by crafty people of various skill levels - and some of the projects will be fun to do with kids. If you are a jeans-lover, you will love this book! I can't wait to get started on the pocket pouch for on my desk.

This book was thorough and comprehensive in its discussion of real options while remaining understandable. The real world examples, stories, and graphs helped increase my comprehension. I was most impressed by the author's detailed explanations of how options can be strategically used in corporate risk management. The chapters on valuation, modern option pricing, and capital investment decisions were excellent as well. Hands down the best book on real options that I have read.

This is a wonderful combination of theory and application for the creative writing classroom. Bishop helps us step away from the tired tricks of introductory writing classes and create a learning environment that's beneficial to students and teachers at all levels. She encourages teachers to position ourselves as "senior learners" and to implement writing exercises that make it so that every student leaves the class with the seed for a new piece of writing. Best of all, she does it in plain language that doesn't cause headaches. This isn't a classroom text, but a teaching text. Great theory, sample exercises that leave room for personalization, and a boost for my teaching inspiration.

I read this book while my husband suffered with prostate cancer and found explanations to the various treatments he was getting in layman's language which allowed us to communicate better with his doctors. I also felt that it was very neutral as to what would be a preferred treatment choice, giving the pros and cons on all treatments available. Every prostate cancer patient should read this book.

For the price, this is the best lease option book I found. It covers "you" buying a lease option and "you" selling with a lease option. It explains what to do and what not to do and why. Additionally, the book includes all the forms you need to do your deals and protect your interest in the property. I did a lot of research on lease options before I bought this book, and they covered everything that I discovered and then some.

I recently read SELF-TEACHING TECHNOLOGY: A Powerful Educational Option, and was very impressed by its candor and strong message to students, parents, techers, etc. The author dramatically describes the education problems we all face and the practical solutions to solve them. In essence, more TIME is needed, both at school and at home, to truly be prepared to succeed in life in this technological economy of today. Must reading, especially for HS and college students!

Thanks Mr. Leizman. Great book. Read so many books. I'll rate this on top of my all time best list. This book is going to be near my desk all the time. My best list include, Fred Kelly's books, Edwin, Humphery, and Douglas.

Grant Stevens is coming on fast. The Silent Option/Warning Order are good reads, gripping adventure. Looking forward to next book.

Being a colllege professor for more than 3 decades, I have read too many books on money, market, investing , and trading. I found
George Angell's book one of the best. It tells as it is and reveals not only the in-and-out, the up-and-down of trading the market but also the philosophy of life, the psychology of trading, and the attitude of winning the games. I recommend this book to anyone who has interest in shot-term trading.
The Professor

I was struggling deeply with this issue in a divided household. I found the different contributors had a wide variety of medical, pastorial and individual perspective that was well rounded from their individual biographical histories. The specific Bible scripture refences to look up and seek individal meaning and instruction were helpful and very thought provoking and caused soul searching. Sterilization is an area that is not widely spoken of in any church circles I have been in and this brought a subject out in the open in an easily readable format with discussion group format options at the end of each chapter for role playing or group discussion if desired. The Checklist for decision making at the end of the book was insightful, thorough and well rounded.

I began this book with a vague perspective of church feelings towards sterilization from my childhood and my conscience on the issue pulling me in one direction. This reaffirmed my initial conscience position and strengthened where these feeling came from with specific passages to allow me peace and strength of knowledge in my final position on the issue. I would HIGHLY suggest every pastor, priest, counselor, physician and other involved person keep this in their personal library for reference and guidance on this highly emotional issue.

Whether you are "for" or "against" sterilization, I felt both sides of the issue could be defendable and made with conviction and clear conscience by the reader.
