This book was written by my friend Richard. He's the funniest guy I know. I heard all of these stories and I said "Richard, you should write a book" and the rest is history. This book tells it like it is and is a funny description of what life is really like in the ER. He lets you know just how hard the doctors and nurses laugh at you when you come into the ER with silly problems. If you really want to laugh about nursing "war stories" in the ER, then this is the book for you. If you can't find a copy, ask Richard he has a few thousand. thx WHS

A very calming and inspirational book presented in an unusual format. A perfect book for a gift to a friend or loved one.

Grover is at it again, loving all the heights of metropolis saving suqirrels and birds from the fierce forces of nature. His charcter explodes on this one, really blue and his costume is a treasure for all children to see. A wonderful delight.

In similar genre as that classic "The Cult of The Big Rigs", this book is a valued addition to my collection, covering the turbulent days of Big Rigs... the 1970's in USA, and more particularly, the opinions and feelings of the truckers at that time. The "fuel crisis" features heavily on their minds. Today one might wonder what all the fuss was about back then.

Don't let the lack of color photos put you off. There are stacks of black and white pictures on 170 pages and some probably look better that way.

The preface to this book, first printed in 1977, reads " There are a lot of people who misrepresent truckers, like in songs, or in magazines, or in movies. As far as I am concerned, they're just makin' a buck on us. Your book better quote us right."

The book presents both an objective view and also captures the mood of truckers and trucking at that time. Seventies nostalgia.

This is an excellent textbook as well as reference on OSI Reference Model and related standards. The OSI Model is presented in detail. Various protocols for wide area networking, like HDLC and X.25, are explained in depth with clear illustrations. This book provides in depth analysis of computer communication technologies. I will recommend this book to anyone, who is seriously interested in computer networking.

This book which I read 3 years ago ,has been an influence into both mine and my wifes lives. The book is factual, very gripping ,humourous at times but overall a very indepth view of a man who after two failed marriages set off at the age of 49 to find peace and see the world. His knowledge of sailing was very limited but over time experienced more of the elements the Oceans of the world have to offer than you could ever imagine.After many years at sea Les summarises what being alone actually means. I understand that Les has sailed around the world three times now,the first trip took twelve years which most of this book is about.The second trip none stop, during the last month as he was returning back to the uk he was living on rice mixed with toothpaste to enhance its flavour. This is a true story of a humble man ,living on a limited budget but had the most wonderful experiences of which most people /sailors only ever dream about ,he endured the oceans at there worst which is well documented in the book Hands Open. A book if read will stay with you for ever.

Paul Theroux takes a close look at the places and people he visits. He is very discriptive, but yet manages to entertain and capture the reader. Once I started the book, I did not want to put it down. It's a must for everybody who wants to travel to the South Pacific.

The KJV New Open Bible is one of the most comprehensive study Bibles available. I really like the topical index, the introductions to each book of the Bible, the index to Visual Bible Study Aids, and many many different helps and aids in studing and helping to understand the Bible. I sell different Bibles at my church, and this is the Bible that I use the most, and personally take to church.

The Open Bible is already so filled with such helpful information, study guides, etc. to help, not only the new Christian, but one who is growing and maturing spiritually, and walking with the Lord and seeking His will daily. Yet, with the New King James Version, which is so much easier to comprehend than the King James, yet very close to the same language, so easy to follow along with the pastor when he is teaching from the King James, is a double blessing! And, the Large Print makes it easier for me to read altogether! I have had many eye surgeries, for detached retinas and cataracts, and so the small print of most books is so difficult for me to read. But, the Large Print is wonderful! I can read along with the pastor, or during my own personal study, without holding the book 1 inch from my face! The Open Bible, in the New King James Version, and in Large Print is the ONLY Bible for me! And, I strongly recommend it to my friends! (As well as new converts to Christ!)

This is a wonderful edition of The Open Bible. It is no longer printed by Thomas Nelson, but if you can find it, it's well worth the effort. It has wonderful study guides, concordance and helps. The size is good too, it's just the right size to hold in your hand to sit and read, some Study Bibles are really too big to hold and read, but this one is not. I also like the inline references as compared to center column references. Just an all around wonderful Bible.
