A GREAT BOOK!
I have to say this is the second best book I have ever read (next to the Bible of course) You can feel the Mavis' emotions, and practically experience all of the things she goes through. I usually don't like reading sad stories, but I could not put this book down! When you read this book you just want to go and do the same thing her mother, Miss Spear, and all of the other abusers that hurt Mavis. Hope Summerfield is a very very very great writer, and I give her 2 thumbs WAY up! Anyone who is a teenager, or older should read this book (I am 13). If you haven't read this book than order it now, because it will be a timeless tresure for your book collection.

This is a truly great book
During the past two years I have read over 100 books including best sellers such as Cold Mountain. None of those books come close to capturing the human spirit that is evidenced in this book by Hope Summerfield. It is a remarkable story that is exceptionally well written. While other books are easy to pick-up and put down, this book will make you want to give up sleep in order to finish reading it!

You could feel the child's emotions to the fullest extent
One of the most revealing and emotional books ever. It lets us all know what it is like to be a child and alone in this world. The author is brilliant in her descriptions. She must have lived this life or someone close to her did for no one could describe the emotions without encountering them. It would be a worthwhile book for anyone trying to look into the mind of a child alone in this big wide world.

Great book from a great educator
Blood and Treasure is a fascinating book about a little know about Civil War campaign. Dr. Frazier is best lecturer I have ever heard, and this book does something to capture his skill on paper. This book is essential for anyone with an interest in Texas, the Civil War, or the American West.

you get your money's worth
This book is loaded with good text book examples and covers a wide variety of bootstrap applications. It is great as a reference book on the bootstrap or as a course text at a graduate level. Chernick (1999) is a little more up-to-date and covers the classifcation error rate estimation problem that is not addressed in this text. Chernick (1999) also has many more references. Efron and Tibshirani (1993) is another fine text that is a little more intuition based with less mathematics. Fieller's problem with ratio estimation and some other gems are well covered in Efron and Tibshirani but not here. Davison and Hinkley do the best job on time series of any of the bootstrap books with details about moving block bootstrap and some interesting applications.

Exceptionally clear, concise and practical
This book has an excellent ballance between practice and theory. It presents the bootstrap as the powerful tool it is through the ellucidation of practical issues. I strongly recommend this book for everyone interested in improving statistical practice.

Book has my vote
Relevant and clear in explanations throughout.

bestbook
This is the best book since sliced bread

This is the greatest book ever!
I read this when I was 10 and crazy about ninendo. I still read it again and agian. I loved how it uses nintendo characters. The story changes every time you read it. The puzzles give this book and intresting twist. They just don't write books like they used too.

The Best of the Best
There have been many books that I've read but there is none like this one. It has everything a kid could want from a book--action, plot, memorable characters with a humorous twist.

Lumley rules
Brian Lumley is one of the best horror/weird fiction writers around. I have read everything he's written, even the hard-to-find and out-of-print stuff. This, along with Vol II, is a must have.

Classic Lumley
Brian Lumley is one of the best horror/weird fiction writers around. I have read everything he's written, even the hard-to-find and out-of-print stuff. This, along with Vol I, is a must have.

Book Two Of An Excellent Series
Volume Two has three other novels.

Spawn Of The Winds In The Moons Of Borea Elysia

These books continue following the adventures of Crow and DeMarigny.

Spawn Of The Winds is interesting though. While it still goes with the series, Lumley creates altogether new characters and heroes for this adventure and barely mentions Crow or DeMarginy at all! They do tie in later though, and quite nicely.

This is another great series put together by Lumley, and I'm just so happy they finally rereleased some of his earlier work, and economically too.

A related book of short stories that fits in nicely with this series is The Compleat Crow.

Big tip! If you are like me and want to read virtually all of Lumley's works, then I highly suggest reading the Dreamlands saga after reading Spawn Of The Winds in Mythos Omnibus Volume Two. These books take place before In The Moons Of Borea (Unfortunately I did not know this and well, it blew it a little for me I think).

Anyone who likes shadowrun will love all 3 of these... i hope to see ryan and these other characters in future shadowrun books.. even if they aren't the main ones.

The Best Shadowrun Book for now!
Beyond the Pale (the third and last book of the dragon heart saga) is one of the best books I ever read!

nice plot, good action, cool mix of tech and magic
Assets. Inc. really knows how to capture your attention, this is a must read, though I suggest reading books 1 and 2 first.

Good book, but not enough Mech battles
This book had an all around good plot, but it didn't have any good mech battles until the end. Most of it was just talking.

Long Live the Combine!
This book was a fantastic book. It has a lot of great qualities, The further development of Theodore Kurita and Ninyu Kerai, more of Camacho's Caballeros.Subhash's death was dramatic and he died for a cause but I would have rather he didn't die. It also has some of the best villians, Hohiro Kiguri and the Black Dragon Society. All in all this is a great book that shows the inner workings of one of the most powerful of the Successor States.

BOOK GOOD BOOK GOOD
Victor Milan did himself proud when he created the Caballeros in Hearts of Chaos and they've come clear to Black Dragon getting wilder all the way. However Subhash dying was a definite minus and Franklin Kurita should have been expanded upon but this is still a first class book

Blue Mesa Review, No Six

Blue Mesa is a cross-cultural delight.
This anthology rules the roost when it comes to good writing from the west. There's a freedom of expression and a willingness to push the envelop here that I have not found with other reviews on the university level. Kudos.

Outstanding.
Bukowski's ghost is probably putting in overtime reading selections from Blue Mesa.

Blue Mesa Review rocks!
What I enjoyed about this particular issue was the willingness of the writers to explore the boundaries between countries and how that influences not only our relationships but the way we tend to look at the world. When a narrator writes about cities separating him from his friend, he is writing about more than geographical distance. Kudos to the editors of Blue Mesa!

Clue #6 Booby Trapped
If you are a mystery person you need Clue. Clue is a book full of mini mysteries. In the beginning of the story Mr. Boddy put a note on their walls and it said, "Everyone will sign out for a weapon. This should end our crime problem." Mrs. Peacock did not like Mr. Boddy's silly sign up sheet for weapons. Colonel Mustard signed out the gun so he could make doughnut holes. In the end of story, they heard a scream from the Billiard Room. They found Mr. Green lying on the ground holding the knife. Mrs. Peacock said he was hit with a hard object. Mr. Boddy said he would go get the sign up sheet. Mrs. Peacock said, "Oh, there was no need to get the sign up sheet because she already knew who did it. I like the part when Mr. Green made doughnut holes with the gun, because it was funny. He made doughnut holes with the gun and that's weird kind of.

Not the worst, not the best
By the title, it sounds really good, but it's not as interesting as you'd think. I still would highly recommend it, but it may take you a little more time to read than the other ones. The last story was the best.

A Good Clue Book !
The sixth book in the exciting Clue series,Booby Trapped, was a very fun book to read. With Mr. Boddy installing a very expensive home security system we find his six guests are up to no good once again! I have always enjoyed reading Clue for the stories and not to solve the mysteries. If you do solve them you will have a fun time with Booby Trapped.

Very enjoyable - 4 1/2 stars
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the way Sophie had a history of loving to have sex. I get a little tired of reading about beautiful women who never seem to have a good sexual experience until they meet the hero of the book. That has always struck me as very unrealistic. The plot of this book was a bit more interesting than most books of this type but the ending was too rushed and not well thought out. I only took off half a star though because you read these stories for the "blaze" and I think this book delivers it!

Hot and steamy!
BREATHLESS

Always
aloof and seemingly underfoot, they just have no clue. The same can
be said about Sophie Morton. She gets lost doing the simplest
things.

The story takes place in Canada, starting off with Sophie getting
lost on her way back from work. She stops her car and sees what
seems to be a very large, attractive man holding up a smaller
Oriental woman. Brave Sophie makes an attempt to thwart the crime in
progress only to discover that Detective Blake Barker, the man with
the gun, was tailing a criminal suspect and she'd just botched the
biggest case the Detective had been working on for two years.

Turns out she works in a bank that's connected to a money laundering
scheme run by the criminal that Sophie 'helped' escape. It's also
coincidence that Detective Barker can't stay away from the incredibly
sexy Sophie. They even share a love of opera.

Especially hot was the scene at the opera house. I won't give
details away but not only was it sexy, it was beautifully crafted.
Nancy Warren has brought two real life characters together and given
us a story with meat.

Sensuality: Typical BLAZE line stuff. Oral, normal sex. But don't
let that fool you, the scenes are well written *g*

...

Breathless is great!
This book has a fresh viewpoint! I was so relieved that this wasn't another cop on leave, never love again, partner dead, carry all the guilt typecast! The characters were presented in new, believeable ways. I was surprised several times by how the story turned...it didn't fit into any of the "usual" plots. Great book for a rainy day. Well written, funny, smart, developed plot and lovable characters!
