We bought this book in Horton Plaza. I can't tell you how fabulous it is! We save on everything, and I always look in her book before buying. Also, the chapter on free and bargain things to do is so wonderful. I can't believe she did all this research for us! I highly recommend it for families. It also has so much information in it that we can benefit from for saving on vacations, and the chapter on classes and free money for college really opened a lot of doors for me. My husband loved the section on autos and auto insurance, and I love the resale shops. Great book. You will use it often.

Living in Andover, MA -- in chilly New England -- I really appreciated the many money-saving tips in this book. Just by following a few simple steps I think I've already saved the price of the book many times over on home heating and hot water heating. There are some bigger projects that I think I'll undertake, because the book explains them so well and I'm sure those will save me hundreds this heating season and more hundreds in future heating seasons. I recommend this book to anyone who's interested in saving money -- and who isn't interested in that?

The author does deliver on the promise to shave 15% off a nonprofit's budget. All of the 100+ tips (across a broad range of expense areas) for shaving costs are practical and require limited time or money to implement. Though any nonprofit organization will benefit from many of these tested ideas, organizations under $10 million in budget should especially be able to adopt many of the suggestions due to flatter heirarchies and quicker decisions by senior staff. I know of no other text that comes close to being so extensive or so practical.

I enjoyed this book from the twins even more than any of the others. I have already started using the bigger life-changing ones and I look forward to next month when I will see the differerence in my finances when my house makes me money while I sleep. It is funnier than the others and I loved the success stories. They were my motivation to get busy. I look forward to seeing the twins on television as I have in the past. As the twins say: this book is not for everyone, just for people who really need to save some big money and have a small income. Double advice from them which is good for us out here in the real world. I love these girls!

I am a mother of two children married to a successful business person. This book helped me prepare my case and find assets in the business. Our case is still pending but I have already received more information from this book than I have from my lawyer during the entire case. I recommend it to anyone considering a divorce. I especially appreciate the list of professionals contained in the back of the book and the social security information. This should be required reading for anyone who is going through a divorce.

This book is so readable and yet covers astonishing detail about many product types and market factors; when you're done, you'll feel you "own" strategies for timing your shopping and using your money to best advantage. It provides a framework for taking control; you'll no longer wonder whether you're being victimized by sharp marketing or overwhelmed by advertising and claim, or whether a "good deal" really is. As the title promises, you'll become more "savvy" no matter how much you thought you knew about shopping for and using goods and services.
Probably worth hundreds of times its value in savings!

Mark Cramer has written a literate and wise book concerning the journey of a man to succeed in an unusaul occupation: a gambler who bets on horse races. This book is well written and is at its center a novel about the battles we all fight within ourselves. The protagonist fights his own self destructive influences as he searches for a path "with a heart."

Very useful tool for those making investment decisions for churches and other institutions.

I've bought and read many guides to Seattle, but this is the only one I want in my office. If you've every wanted a condensed, phone directory-style guide to some of the best things in Seattle, this is the one.

At the heart is a well thought out table of contents, which allows you to quickly locate your desired topic. Quicker than the blue pages, white pages, or the Internet; I love it.

This is not a high-design product, but it is very functional. For example, the binding allows the book to lie flat (no more 1-handed reading).

A fascinating look at the spiritual, mythological, and psychological aspects of money, replete with terrific stories, that leads the reader on a journey that places money in service to life and not vice versa. An outstanding book!
