Stewart Welch III makes periodic appearances on television and radio networks, is quoted in "Money" magazine and "Worth" magazine, writes a weekly column in the Birmingham Post-Herald and is largely regarded as THE expert on wealth creation. Now, he's done it again. Stewart Welch III focuses his money-making know-how on first-time investors, newlyweds. It's easy to read and understand and best of all, could start a marriage on the right foot towards lasting financial freedom without friction. This is must read for couples starting out. I highly recommend it. Give it as a wedding gift to a couple you love!

In the large market of mutual funds, there is a good chance that you can choose the wrong fund. This book will teach you the ways in which to investigate, buy, and trade mutual funds. I found the information contained about each mutual fund, it's purpose, value, etc. to be in depth and easy to understand. The explanations of statistical data are to the point, and the mutual funds listed as the best are convincing. Williamson explains the do's and don'ts of mutual funds and all of the lingo is explained. Get this book before you buy a fund!

As a college student, I really wanted to take advantage of the current good market, but I didn't have a clue as to where to start. This book starts off by clearly explaining in layman's terms the in and outs of mutual funds. The author defines common terms and practices, and then he lists the 100 best mutual funds, broken down into specific types of funds, i.e. Aggressive Growth Funds, Balanced Funds, etc. Don't worry that the information in this book will soon be outdated, this book can be used as a long lasting reference. The information in the opening chapters can definitely be used in the future, and even though the performance of the top 100 funds changes from year to year, the companies listed are consistently top contenders. As further proof of my belief in this book; a week ago I knew nothing about investing, this week I made my first calls to several mutual funds to request prospectus'!

This book is so cute and little and just right for my gift baskets and gifts for showers and such. I loved the simplicity of it. It is affordable for us tightwads. Thanks, twins!

All three of these scripts are terrific, among the best by one of our finest screenwriters. (His most recent film is "Ransom.") They are gritty and dark; fine examples of modern pseudo-noir. The book might be hard to find, but it's worth it for anyone interested in screenplays. These are three of the best I've read

What a great book! James Wise has a great handle on the financial problems most of us are facing and practical examples of how to improve our lives financially. My wife and I read the book and immediately started implementing some of the ideas with positive results. The practical examples and case studies are great and make you feel like you are not just reading another "health and wealth" book by some financial guru. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to change their quality of life and improve their financial future.

I checked several books out of the library on this subject, but this is the only one I read cover to cover. It is a breeze to read. The writer adds examples from her own experience which are interesting and keep it from being a dry how-to book. The tips are very straightforward and useful. Maybe some of the steps are common sense, such as cleaning and de-cluttering the house for sale, but she adds some extra tips, such as the best place to quickly stash your junk mail & other clutter before a showing (where won't they look?). Many of the tips focus on less obvious aspects of selling, such as what wording to look out for before signing a listing contract. I appreciate the fact that the author recommends honesty to home sellers - fix or disclose problems with the house rather than covering them up. Most home inspectors will find everything anyway, and a seller who seems to be hiding something will raise red flags with buyers. I found it to be an enjoyable and helpful book.

I have always been intimidated by the mere idea of investment planning, but this book empowered me to take control of my own future. With easy to understand tables and step by step instructions, the authors have given us a useable plan of action. Thank you Mary & Judith!

This book gave me a lot of insight in regards to how writers get magazine assignments and also how to secure jobs writing for these same magazines. The contact names and numbers at the magazines and newspapers at the back of the book were also REALLY helpful.

Solid fundamentals on which to build a business on. Also has many great pieces of personal financial advice.
