Money For Good is VERY GOOD!
This man can write! Can I give 20 stars? The book starts off with this guy who reminds me of a good friend who owns his own business. He is putting all his time, money and effort into his business and like clock work--he gets a notice to sit on jury duty and he is very upset about it-because he has a business to run and a girlfriend that is way too much for him and way out of hand!
He goes to jury duty-and meets another jurror her name is Lauren and Lauren comes up with a plan to take three hundred thousand dollars from the guy who is on trail.
After that, this book just takes off! You got he say, she say drama. A girlfriend off the chain, you got drugs, money, killing I mean this book is like a movie as you read it because every chapter has something happening in it and you can actually see whats going on as you read.
I have to agree with the other reviewers. This is the best book I have read all year. Franklin White is still one of the best and everyone should read it.
Mark my word you will love it!
A Very Fun Read!Money For Good is my first book that I've read by Franklin White and I really only read it because one of my good friends recommended it. Well, I am really glad that I read this book as I really had a good time reading this story and following in the adventures of West, Lauren, and a few of the other characters. The pacing of this story was excellent, the storyline original, and it was just a very pleasant reading experience for me from the beginning until the end.
From the book's cover, it appears that West Owens will be back again and, when that does happen, I will be sure to read the next book.

A few of their 27 rules are well known. Take Rule No. 9, for example: "During a gold rush, sell shovels." But Money Hunt gives a surprising example: the company that makes wheels for inline skates. The inline-skate business grew 100 percent a year for five years, but when that business peaked and all the people who were going to start skating already owned skates, who was still profiting? The guy who made the wheels to replace the ones that got worn out. One that's not so well known is Rule No. 25: "It's a business, not a baby." Here, Spencer and Ennico tell the tale of a college kid who started a business designing Web sites in his dorm room, and quickly sold out to a local advertising agency. The kid sensed that the head of the agency was new to the Net, and, if he did any exploring, could easily find someone who did what the kid could do. He knew this was his best shot at big money, and took it. Other rules explore how to deal with people, money, markets, and lawyers, and each is illustrated by a detailed story of real-world business, making Money Hunt the best treasure map an entrepreneur could lay his or her hands on. --Lou Schuler

The Never-Ending QuestAccording to the subtitle, the authors provide "27 New Rules for Creating and Growing a Breakaway Business." How "new" these rules are is subject to honest disagreement but all are sound and can be of great value to anyone who is either preparing to launch a new company or who has launched one which is now experiencing serious problems. Either way, I rate this book highly. It is well-written. The material is anchored in a wealth of real-world experience. For each reader, some rules are probably more relevant than are others...at least today. However, having had extensive recent experience with several start-ups, I can attest that each of the 27 will become relevant at one time or another. I also think this book can be of substantial value to senior-level executives of so-called "mature" companies. Why? Because every company needs what I call a semi-annual or quarterly (if not monthly) "gut check" -- or "reality check" -- which challenges all basic assumptions and premises concerning its vision, mission, priorities, allocation of resources, positioning, core competencies, customer relationships, competition, etc.
The authors devote a separate chapter to each of the "Rules", with the 27 chapters organized within seven Parts:
Part One:Do You Have What It Takes?
Part Two:The Right Idea at the Right Time
Part Three: Markets and Competition
Part Four:People
Part Five:Show Me the Money!
Part Six:The Legal Side of Business
Part Seven: Getting Out -- and Moving On
The book concludes with five Appendices: The MoneyHunt Story, Business Plan Template, Online Audition for MoneyHunt, Legal Dos and Don'ts of Raising Capital, and Demystifying the Business Organization. Although all of the material provided is solid and well-presented, I was especially interested in Appendix A which explains the origin and development of a television program on which entrepreneurs (hunting for money, of course) appear.
Who will derive the greatest benefit from this book? As previously suggested, those who are merely thinking about launching a new company; also those who are preparing to launch a new company; also those who have launched a company now encountering serious problems; also those in a well-established company which may be losing its competitive edge. Here's another category of reader which I also want to include: Those involved in a large organization who must compete aggressively each day for a share of that organization's resources. For them, effective application of the 27 "Rules" will of course require strategies and tactics which are substantially different from those required when "creating and growing" a new enterprise.
The hunt for money never ends because the need for money never ends. Unless you have everything required to achieve your specific objectives, read and then re-read the book. If and when circumstances tempt you to think that you can relax a bit, read it again.
The Best Best Book!

Knowledge can set you freeTom Greco has been doing some of that work for you, with integrity, passion and enormous dedication.
The time has come to shed some light on the mysterious workings of our money. Read why it is a losing game for most people, of why it is our master instead of our servant. More important still: what you can do to change it for yourself and for your own community.
a valuable book
DO YOU KNOW WHAT MONEY IS?MONEY is the beginning of a long road we have ahead of us. A few aspects, especially at the end, might still be too close to our present paradigm about economy, but this should change as more people around the world experience different systems of Alternatives to Legal Tender and thus see their very lives changed for the better. MONEY is only one step -but perhaps the first step most of us need- in the path towards a more humane future.

Splendid imagery, language, expression
Lunch Money Book ReviewLunch Money is a book about poems. It was written by Carol Diggory Shields. My Favorite Poems are "Pledge" and "Hot Lunch Money". My favorite part of the poem "Hot Lunch Money" is at the very end when a boy goes to his piggy bank and gets money. "The Pledge" is funny because a boy says, "there's a spider crawling up your back!" And in the poem "Lunch Menu" it's gross when the boy says," tuna noodle casserole". I learned that kids can be very funny and silly!

Save your money
Nothing Has Been Done To Protect The Average Investor...Protect and grow your life savings.
Avoid the pitfalls of Enron (G. W.'s Single Biggest Contributor)
With the helpful advice of this book...
The 'Keep it Simple Stupid' Method for Lazy PeopleAs far as personal finance books are concerned, this has been one of the best I have ever read. The advice is easy to read and comprehend. The content is simple, direct, and not filled with all the jargon and hype that can give the average 'lazy' investor a major headache. Having already invested in several 401k ventures, and tracking several stock options over the years, as well as delving into several other investment opportunities, I can truly say that Farrell is right on target, and the research he has done in this book is good advice. In fact, I plan to put it into practice within the next two months from the date this review was written.
The plan is easy, it involves only two investments (how's that for diversity) in two strong funds, and a little bit of tweaking each year. This is all I will say about the main gist of the book. I do not want to give away the details because you really need to read the book to understand the plan to its fullest extent. Farrell details how you can put this plan into practice in a very easy step by step procedure.
The above, however, is not the only thing Farrell discusses in this book. He details the benefits of 410ks, what certain things mean in the trading world (e.g. S&P 500, Bull Market, Bear Market, Blue Chips, tax benefits in certain investments, etc.), how to invest without paying brokers, and much more. Therefore, when it comes to investing, if you are as green as the fairways for a professional golf tournament, then you will gain a much better understanding of the investment world. However, if you are a seasoned investor, you will learn just as much since, as Farrell says, you were probably taught to do certain things that can cause major pitfalls in your investing (i.e. the Wall Street way). Thus, this book is great for the beginner and the expert and I highly recommend it.
