Randy Shih does an excellent job of teaching the basics of parametric modeling in Autodesk Inventor R6. The book is full of step by step images of lessons, starting from parmetric modeling fundementals to assembly modeling. Each of the ten chapters is about 30 pages long:

The book is written as a class textbook, so there are end of chapter questions and exerises. The only problem with this book is that it is an introduction to Inventor, so it does address Inventor's advanced features.

This is a great tutorial for anyone somewhat familiar with AutoCAD. It walks you right through from one exercise to another, with immediate results and increased confidence.

I worked through the book in about 2 weeks (1 exercise / night) and feel fairly knowledgeable with respect to many of the basics - and I knew zip about this before.

The book skips much of the laborious details found in other tutorials (left mouse-click to select, etc.) and gets right to the good stuff. Wastes little time in explaining everything, and assumes (mostly correctly) that you'll get it through repetition.

If browsing for a book to get familiar with MDT6, this is a good one.

The book has given us an indepth knowledge of Queueing systems also a good book for starters since the first two chapters covers the basics.

Thank you for your book, James! It's invaluble source of information necessary to start. It's like "The C Programming Language" by Brian Kernigan, "The art of computer programming" by Donald Knuth. Undoubtly this book is monument in the Petri Nets area. Everyone, who wants to work in the asynchronous systems modelling field, MUST READ this book FROM COVER TO COVER.

I have never heard of a kid that didnt like play-doh. This is a great set, a book and fun creativity all in one.

I have used this book over and over and over again! It was very helpful during my high school years in art class. I still find it useful today (I'm a clay artist). It teaches the simple fun ways of creating clever designs with plasterseen. GREAT FOR KIDS learning the art of making creatures big and small with clay.

This will be an absolute bestseller in the market for Unigraphics NX Modelling. I can recommend it to everybody in the NX Modeling business.

This book is one of the best illustrated works devoted to making wax models for jewelry that I have purchased. I have been making jewelry models for over 30 years and still discovered textural techniques and materials in Practical Wax Modeling that I was not familiar with previously. Due to the fact that the authors are Japanese, the book reflects their design and technique approach. This work covers a wide range of tools, and details both the carving and build up of wax models. I would recommend this book as a valuable addition to any jewelry maker's library.

This is a very clearly written book. Its contents go from easy to difficult, step by step. It's very good for beginners. For advanced readers, they may want to skip the first several chapters and read from the middle.
