This book you can use to get a really good picture of what climate modelling really is. You should be somewhat into your studies and not a first year student. The book covers virtually every topic that is important if you want to build your own climate model. Do not try this, though; your PC cannot work with all the subsystems that are described in the volume. Following Schneiders 1982 book this is really guff!

This book was a great tool for my algebra class. The examples were concise and easy to understand. One of the outstanding features of this book was the well integrated technology lessons. There is a resource appendix dedicated to the functions of the graphing calculator. This made the course more meaningful and applicable. I have tried to take this course unsucessfully before with two different books, but I was able to understand and comprehend the material this time. This book should be used for all college algebra courses and deserves 5 stars!

This book is one of the most comprehensive on its subject that I've ever seen. Useful for Art Teachers, Artists, Art Historians and anyone with a healthy interest in the processes involved in the creation of three-dimensional works of art (a large scope of study undoubtedly). I wholeheartedly recommend this book, as it is well written and well illustrated with great attention to detail. Not only does it contain pictures of artwork, but has step-by-step explanations, with accompanying photographs, of the various processes by which these works of art are created. This book also contains an excellent glossary and index. This is an ideal book for anyone interested in three-dimensional art.

As a sculture major in college, I was fortunate to learn a variety of sculpture techniques. Years later, as a teacher of sculpture, I was seeking a quick reference book to refresh my memory. This book is just what I was looking for. It is a wonderful review, or introduction to the different techniques utilized by the sculptor. Midgley provides a comprehensive overview of the principles of sculpture, ceramic techniques, wax, mold-making, metal casting, wood, stone,plaster, concrete,plastics,light, mixed media,resisns and glass fibers as well as presentation and display. There are numerous color photographs to refer to as well. This is a must have for any sculpture enthusiast!

The book covers almost every aspect of the component database systems. It is especially helpful to someone who wants to explore this new technology. It would be great if more details are provided in some chapters. Overall, this book worth much more than its price.

Following my teacher's recommendation, I bought this book for a class I had on Conceptual Database Design. This book is a masterpiece on data modeling, covering conceptual, logical and phisical database design in a clear and direct way. One of the bests parts of the book are the plenty exercises on the end of each chapter. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to be a serius database designer.

This is a wonderful book for someone who's a beginner or a veteran in crafts. The book tells you everything: from how to make the dough to the templates for the beautiful designs to what materials you need. The projects vary in difficulty but the authors give you a host of suggestions as to how to do them, step by step and with clear and precise instructions. The photographs are also very helpful. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys crafts and is tired of books with corny projects!
