great kdis book!
This book was one of my favorites of all the series.A must buy.I really liked it because it had lots of adventure and kept you biting your nails.:)I couldn't put it down! I liked how Judd, Vicki, and Lionel were in trouble instead of like the beginning books where they kinda just stayed at home and stuff.Even though these books say they are really only for 9-12 I'm 14 and greatttly enjoy them!

The best in the series!
This book was the best in the series. I really like it! It's my favorite one because it's filled with action, adventure and because the main character in the book is one of my favorites. The kids are hiding and find a hidden cave. There are snakes and Shelly gets very freaked. Shelly is one of my favorite characters (...) What will happen if the commander catches the kids? Will the kid's friends get away from the commander before it's too late? This book is really good! If you like lots of suspense, read this book!!! I have read it several times already. It's a great book!!!

Too Much MISPRINTS!
i bought this book because it looked cool. but i read some of it there was alot of misprints!

An excellent guide for all ages.
I am pleased to say that this excellent guide has brought much information about the incredibly popular Pokémon trading card game, and much knowledge about the Pokémon merchandise. Checkerbee Publishing has made a incredible value guide, considering that they included transalations for the Japanese poket monster trading card game, pictures of the cards, and such information is included in American Pokémon card game which is also featured in this book. Though this book has it's pros, it also has cons. No estimated prices are given about the American Fossil Cards, and few people are sure that the Japanese transalations are 100% accurate. Though, that should not stop you from buying this stupendous guide. I am very sure this will satisfy thous who are in need of Pokémon information.

Really handy!
This book is a really good source if you want to know how much your pokemon cards are worth. This book has the values of rares, commons, and uncommons. And it even has the values of japanese cards. If you want to get a pokemon price guide, i suggest you buy this one.

Too much Poetry
It is amazing how the authors can write so many paragraphs which mean so little. This book could have half of the pages it contains. Not worth the price.

Building Value-Based Sales Tools
One of the most important take-a-ways from this book is the idea of coupling consultative selling techniques with a value model...to re-position your firm and its product offering. Its a must read for manufacturers who are perceived to be producing commodity products.

An Outstanding approach to marketing based on value...
You know a book is having an extradinary effect when you see managers walking the halls with it -- postits coming out of every corner -- saying things like "This is my Bible..." Based on a significant amount of field research, this book has got real insighnts you can use in getting down to what customers really, really value -- and will pay for. A new "must read" for everyone in Business-to-Business Marketing

Cherished Teddies: Collector's Value Guide: Secondary Market Price Guide & Collector Handbook
Published in Paperback by CheckerBee Publishing (April, 1999)

Disappointed
I was a bit diappointed with the Cherished Teddies Collector Value Guide. The values are over-estimated, compared to E-bay and other secondary markets. There is not much in the way of information. All the Cherished Teddies are not in there. Basically just a lot of pictures, with release dates and price list. Contains sections for keeping records, and information about insurance. Nice to look at for wish list. A "fast food" approach to collecting. I would like to see more about the artwork, history, and what makes some Cherished Teddies more valuable.

cherished teddies
this book was not as informative as i thought it may be. I have an older book by a different author, and it gives a higher value and any rarities or varations that a teddie may have.. It's an OK book but i would have liked more info..

Very Handy
This book is handy for organizing your collection, and a MUST for any collector! It was essential in determining how much insurance coverage we should add when we married. Also, I have found it to be extremely handy for spotting Rare Bears and retired pieces, and the book has been a useful tool in online auctions.

Evolving E-markets: Building High Value B2B Exchanges with Staying Power

Authors: William Woods, Arthur Sculley, and et al
Amazon base price: $59.95
Used price: $9.99

Average review score:

Good for Public Net Market models only, hance outdated.
Outdated - even for Sculley and Woods - who also authored their own B2B book before this collection. The title is not correct. There is little "evolution" here - this is a great book if you just want to learn about public net market models; and not how they have evolved. To a few of us, these are now "past it" in that they are no longer "where it's at". Defining how to make public models work is reasonably simple and clear; what is missing here, and what most B2B leaders crave is knowledge concerning the real evolution - that from Public to Private and then to distributed P2P business models. That is where the game will be played out.

Good if you need stuff on public, centralizing models. Pretty poor if you want to read up on the evolution of e-markets.

Solid, insightful look below the covers of B2B marketplaces
While it appears that the stock market has lost faith with B2B pure-plays, this book highlights the power of new B2B business models. It's clear that there's more to come in B2B... even if Dot-coms don't capture all of the ultimate value.

I particulary enjoyed the section by Tempkin at Forrester Research. It provided a powerful look at how the Internet would ultimately impact businesses. While I'm not totaly convinced that the Internet will completely change how big, established businesses operate, his chapter was extremely thought provoking and should probably be read by any business executive thinking about what eBusiness will mean to them.

Hard Cash is best
Hard Cash is one of the best college student stories ever. It really captures the reader so that it is almost imossible to put the book down. I'm sure many young adults can find themselves in the same situations as Rich (main character).
This is a most read!

Law and Market Economy : Reinterpreting the Values of Law and Economics
Published in Hardcover by Cambridge University Press (10 August, 2000)
Author: Robin Paul Malloy
Amazon base price: $70.00
Used price: $39.00

Average review score:

Solving modern legal issues must include morals and ethics
Malloy's "Law and Market Economy: Reinterpreting the Values of Law and Economics," brings law and economic legal scholarship further into postmodernism. Rejecting the pragmatic empiricism characteristic of Posner and post-Chicago law and economic theorists, Malloy imports a moral and ethical approach based on the philosophical insights of semiotics. Referencing C.S. Peirce, Malloy sees the market and the law as processes of semiotic signification that function as interpretive frames of reference for determining meaning and value. This interpretive process offers a normative and ethical point of reference to guide market choices. By focusing on the social/market exchange process instead of the predicted outcome of transactions, law and market theory strives for a decentralized and inclusive process of exchange. Malloy's book is a recommended read for all uncomfortable with the static assumptions that currently define law and economic scholarship.

Pretty Good
I though this book did a good job showing the consequences of sex for teens. It included some real storys of teens who got stds, got pregnant, have children, ect.I think those are things teens need to hear even though they don't listen much. The only thing I didn't like is towards the end ,they had messages from a few teens who thought sex was no big deal and that they had no problems ever, ect. I don't think that belongs in a teen sex book, period. But overall, its a good book to read yourself or give to a teen you know.

Nothing But The Truth: A Documentary Novel

Terrible.
I read this book as part of my ninth grade accelerated English curriculum. Written in play format, this work presented a challenge in reading to some of my peers, as this was the first time they had read a full-length work written in such a fashion. In finishing the work, however, my entire class--as well as the instructor--agreed that this was perhaps one of the worst books we had ever read. Shallow characters, slow development, and an overall disappointing plot left my class wishing we had never actually read the book. The ending to the story is bittersweet, as well as unexpected; that isn't to say, though, that this book is, in essence, a waste of time. If you're looking for a more engaging and fulfilling read, I would suggest just about anything else. In short: shallow, undeveloping characters mixed with an annoying plot have come together, in "Nothing but the Truth," one of the most irritating examples of faux-literature.

The Truth
"Nothing But The Truth", a Newbery Honor book by Avi, is written in a documentary form which leaves the reader to make decisions for themselves. It is not written from one persons point of view, which allows the reader to see everything that goes on instead of just the limiting opinions of one person. This novel really makes you think about what you see on tv or hear on the radio because it's similar to many occurances in every day life, which allows you to believe the situations and relate to the topic.
Avi somehow found a way to keep his audience interested throughout the entire novel. He moved at a pace which kept your attention because he did not reveal too much information at once. His writing technique and idea for the novel fit together well, and the ending was fantastic. I highly recommend this novel.

Nothing but the Truth Pros and Cons
Pros:

It is written like a documentary. This means that there are documents ranging from homework assignment, to letters, to conversations, etc. Of course it is all made up by the author.

The language used in the book sounds like it is really a teenage boy growing up. He has a lot of problems and he deals with them like a regular teenager would. For example, Phillip Malloy blames his bad English grade on his teacher, Ms. Narwin.

The book clearly states both sides of the argument. The argument is over why Phillip Malloy got suspended. The author leaves it up to the reader to decide whether he was suspended for humming the national anthem or for disrupting class.

Everything in the book has a snowball effect. Phillip Malloy starts out humming the national anthem. It turns into suspension and eventually, the media turns it into a national controversy. All over America, people are questioning the school system and its rules.

Cons:

The whole storyline isn't very realistic. A teacher wouldn't send someone to the principal's office because he was singing the national anthem. Furthermore, the principal wouldn't suspend someone for doing so. It seems ridiculous for something so small as disrupting class to turn into a national issue.

The parts with the letters from Ms. Narwin to her sister are very boring. The letters consist of Ms. Narwin complaining about how the school system is failing and how good the school system was when they were young. Sometimes, you just want to zone out.
