This book made me wish I could remember a past life . . .
After reading this book, I was so curious about the topic that I found and read her previous book entitled "Children's Past Lives." I think Carol Bowman is a very courageous parent. She did an outstanding job of researching a topic which touched her life and the lives of all her family members. She found there was nothing written on the topic so she wrote the book herself. She touched on a subject that is not openly accepted and has brought many believers "out of the closet." She did all this so we will all be able to better help our children in the case that they remember a past life. She continues to be a valuable resource through her web sites. In today's world, we need all the proof we can get that our soul survives after death and sometimes many lives after that.

Return From Heaven by Carol Bowman
This is an excellent book, which I highly recommend to everyone who is even remotely interested in reincarnation. It is a continuation of her work started when her own children started expressing past life memories; and written in Children's Past Life Memories (her first book.)

In Return from Heaven, Carol explores the little looked at phenomena of reincarnation within the same family, a grandfather returning as his grandson, a child who died early, returns as his younger brother, aborted children, returning to the same mother for a second chance at life. It is filled with actual case histories, and is very easy to read. I highly reccommend the book...

Thought Provoking
This book examines case histories of reincarnation but not normal reincarnation. Reincarnation within the same family. She interviews parents who are convinced that their child is a reincarnated family member. Why are they convinced? Birth marks on the child that coincide with scares or injuries of the deceased family member. Statements by the children at a young age that they were here before and so and so, whom they never knew. Statements that accurately reflect happenings before their birth that would be unkown to them or even a secret.

Statements on miscarraiges and changed thoughts about coming back. Talk about how parents are chosen. yes, this all sounds far out, it all sounds like science fiction. But the studies and the people described and their expereiences do tend to cause a person to think. If you believe in reincarnation this book will be a great read for you with more evidence that it does exist. If you are not sure what you believe you will find this book interesting. If you firmly do not believe you will not be impressed I'm sure.

It was an interesting book for me that presented many things to think on. It's a simple read and you can follow it easy. Chapters are broken down by cases and the author explains how they were brought to her attention, what she did to follow through and the information she was provided by the people involved. Not much guess work on her part that I see.

Bottom line, if it's your topic, it'll be enjoyable for you, if not, you might want to pass.

A Return to Christmas
This season something extraordinary is about to reveal itself. A Return to Christmas is an impenetrably, exciting book by Chris Heimerdinger. When you start reading this book you will not be able to stop. Will the Holiday's rediscover something they been without for eight years? We follow the lives of two boys named Chess and Artemus whose paths cross in unusual and unexpected ways. Is it possible that Chess could be Artie's brother? I assure you that this book will leave you at the edge of your seat. We loved it! It was the best book that we have ever read!

Brilliant
Chris Heimerdinger is one of the best writers in weaving a tales so real you can taste. Not only are his stories highly entertaining, they have good messages to send us. In A Return to Christmas, Chris writes a compelling tale of a modern day prince and pauper. It tells of the struggles of one family, having lost their love of Christmas and thrown into a pit of grief they cannot climb out of, until a light of hope shines. This book has value on all levels. To those who have not read this, get it now and read it. You'll be glad you did.

Absolutely great
My wife recommended me this book. I read the german translation in one day. It's a short but also a great story. I think the most important thing I must say about it: I felt happy when I finished. If you have a sense of family, buy this book. You won't regret!!

Small Town Politics
Having grown up in small town New England, I really enjoyed Return to Raby. The experiences of Nelson Palmer as he returns to investigate his small town roots and finds himself on the outside of the established village bureacracy accurately depicts the situation in many small New England towns as "Out-of-Staters" move into town and begin to outnumber the entrenched natives.

As Palmer begins to delve more deeply into the history of the town, he makes several discoveries which change his life and the life of the town. With his opposition to the town fathers, other residents gain the confidence to state their opposition as well. As a mysterious benefactor begins to effect change in the community, the townspeople begin to accept and expect change in attitudes.

As the story builds to its conclusion, more information is unearthed about the true beginnings of the town.

I would recommend this novel to anyone looking to curl up by the fire with a good book. Additionally, because of the part that genealogical research plays in the story line, genealogists will enjoy this story of the ways in which documented history may play in shaping present-day decision making.

Great Story!
If you have ever lived in a small rural town you will certainly be able to relate to and appreciate Jack Polidoro's latest novel, RETURN TO RABY. If you have not had this living experience, Polidoro's novel will enlighten you as to just what you have been missing! Polidoro's novel is based on the reality of a small New Hampshire town that comes alive page after page and truly shows how rural life can be. Having lived in a "Raby"like town myself, I could relate to the story first hand. I passed the book on to friends who have never been out of the city and the book was equally enjoyable to them! This story will make you laugh and bring tears to your eyes. You will be left will a warm feeling and a positive outlook on life. This is truly a wonderful story!

Return To Raby...Read It Today
For all of us who have grown up in small towns, we know that the closed door policy of the old time citizens is the way that 'deals are made.' For newcomer, Nelson Palmer, a man in search of his family history, he learned the hard way that the 'only way is the right way' on how to restore pride and inspiration to a town. Reading Jack Polidoro's new novel, "Return To Raby" will captivate you and have you reading page after page until the very last word. It is a story that could and probably did happen someplace along the way in many New England villages. Having loved Jack's two previous works, Rapid Descent: Disaster in Boston Harbor, and Project Samuel-The Quest for the Cennential Nobel Prize, I know that much of what he weaves into his fictitious stories are what he knows and who he is. So the town of Harvest, New Hampshire intrigued me as I kept wondering, who are these real people and what really occurred to have this author tell his tale. I highly recommend "Return To Raby" to those who are spellbound by a great mystery story with love, death and new beginnings for all.

captain blood returns
THIS WAS A EXCELLANT STORY OF THE BUCCANEERS OF THE SPANISH MAIN.
I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME SEE WHY THIS BOOK IS NOT MORE FAMOUS THAN THE ORIGINAL BOOK. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL TO THIS STORY TO CONTINUE THE THRILL ON AND ON.

Just can't get enough of Peter Blood?
Not so much the return of the Captain, darlin', but his "overlooked" adventures in Sabatini's first book, begining shortly after his escape from slavery. Contains all the clever tricks and swashbuckling you've come to expect in a series of short stories. Sabatini's talent really shines in this format and _Captain Blood Returns_ is entertaining to read all at once or bits at a time.

Really enjoyable
This book was fast to read. I didn't want to put it down. I was afraid that it would be much like the other "bad boy returns" books but it was not. There was a lot going on to make this very enjoyable.

I wonderful touching story.
Ryan's Return is a wonderful book, a hard one to put down. Barbara Freethy tells a story of a family torn apart by scandals and secrets that can only be reunited with love. There is the story of Ryan, the town's "bad boy" and his attraction with Kara, a good girl. A secondary love story is included, with Andrew, Ryan's brother. This novel tells a story of a father who can never stop loving his younger son. Brothers once close, now seperated by misunderstanding. Its a tale of forgiveness, forgiving once parents, children, and girlfriends for the sins in their pasts. Its a tale of rising river, the fathers loves of that rushing water and Ryan's fear of the same river that makes his father and brother complete. Ms. Freethy employs the use of comic relief in this heavely emotional story. One example is the fist fight Andrew and Ryan get into that lands them in jail. Read it and I garantee that you won't be able to put it down.

good book, but dissapointing
The book is reasonably good. but a bit decptive in the title. Only about 1/3 of the book is actualy about rafting on the river. The river is known as the Salmon, nicknamed the river of no return because of the rapids and waterfalls that make it a one-way river.

What a wonderful adventure!
I spent much of my childhood in the wilderness learning the joy of nature from a woman much the same as Hattie. It was a treasured weekend spent reliving my own memories within this wonderfully descriptive tale. My "action/suspense" reading husband couldn't put it down. We eagerly await Gladys Smith's next adventure.

Loved the wilderness aspect of this meaningful adventure!
I could not put this book down. It caught my sense of adventure and swept me through the pages before I knew what hit me. I think this would make a great movie. I hope someone has already bought this to make the film. I would love to read more of this author's work.

Domiano's Return
This was excellent from the premise to the characters to the settings. Everything works!!

If you want a story about true love, don't miss this one.

It was absolutely perfect.

EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! FABULOUS READ!
Excellent book. Damiano, at 6'4", black hair, black/golden eyes, Italian, is one gorgeous, sexy hero. The heroine, Eden, is great too. Because of her strict upbringing and her insecurities about her body, she was very inhibited in the bedroom. But Damiano loved her body. It was clear that he loved her very much even though he did not say so until the end of the book. So he did not believe her initially when he found out about that tabloid story of her and another man, but his reaction was reasonable and credible. He had just returned after five years and their marriage had been on shaky grounds when he was kidnapped. So to have him believing her just like that would not be believable. But he more than made up for his lack of faith in her when he came to her after discovering the truth and he was so contrite and so fearful that he would lose her. He is so wonderful! This book has it all: great sexual tension, superb dialogue, beautiful setting, sizzling chemistry, excellent story, and wonderful hero and heroine. What more could you ask for?

simply the best!!!!
Lynne Grahem has done it again. This book is fab. The hero is Less arrogant then Lynne's usual males. The story; the heorine called Eden her husband returns. He has been presumed dead for 5 years. They have to work out a number of things such as what has happened in the 5 years. Damino is very insecure and worried about what Eden may have been up to the in the past 5 years. This book is a keeper. Try it for yourself....

It was quite some time ago but felt like only yesterday when he rode into a town named BURY, a town he believed the 3 bandits now resided. If it did the population was going to decrease just as soon as Smoke found the cowards.

Good
Very well thought out, however you really have to pay attention to keep track of everything that is going on. I'm the kinda guy that reads for awhile and sets the book down, it was hard for me to remember what was going on.

Enjoyable novels -- great value.
Not just for fans of miltary sci-fi, these adventures of Jack Storm, the last Dominion Knight, are enjoyable stories of adventure and a quest for justice. I applaud Daw Books for releasing these novels in this 3-in-1 paperback format that is a true bargain in these days of corporate greed. And it is a pleasure to be able to re-read these tales in order, as the individual books have been out of print for some time.

The universe created here by Charles Ingrid may not be filled with many new or novel scientific angles, but the very familiar feel of "The Dominion" and even of their foe "The Thraks," has a very comfortable feel. It is like picking up a well thumbed old Robert Heinlein novel, where the characters and their plots are different, but all else feels very familiar.

An Awsome Book
I remember reading this the first book many years ago, and now its finally back! I must admit thats its even better the second time around. I rank The Sand Wars up with my other favorite series. Hats off to Charles Ingrid fro creating this masterful series.
