Two engaging contemporary romances
"Finding You". Though Mama obviously loves her adult chidlren, Carla Candellano wished she cared a little less as her mother constantly harasses her to get married to the point she even asks her if she is a lesbian. Carla does not need a man in her life at this time as she still struggles with the tragedy that happened two years ago during a search and rescue mission. Carla meets new neighbor six year old Reece Wyatt, who has remained mute since his mother died last year. The duo hits it off on some angst-laden connection that soon brings the child's father Jackson into Carla's life. Though love blossoms between the two Wyatts and the Castellano, is that enough to forge a permanent relationship when each has to overcome anguish from their pasts?

"Knowing You". Carla's best friend Stevie Ryan has loved Carla's brother Nick forever. Though he likes her, the handsome Italian Stallion (though both are football stars, in this case Nick not the Crimson Tide's Johnny Musso) never returned the love except but treated her as if she was his little sister. However, recently Stevie finds herself dreaming of Nick's intellectual twin Paul and he seems eager to reciprocate. Will a shift in her affection lead to trouble between the siblings?

Both of these novels are engaging contemporary romances with a warm but a bit crazy ensemble that feels like the kitchen of many readers. The story lines will hook sub-genre readers because the characters seem genuine and friendly.

authors comments!
Few dolls speak of childhood like the Ginny doll. As a young toddler in the 1950s, Ginny the character, was a spokesperson for her generation. In the days when children played in the present with dolls that represented themselves, Ginny doll was always a favorite. Her wardrobe, accessories and study construction has made her a living legend that still continues today. The Ginny doll is a part of the American heritage of dolls. I hope you enjoy this book as it is a chapter of Americana that we never want to forget. A. Glenn Mandeville

Great series -lots of nostalgia though
Williard Price wrote some fabulous adventure stories featuring Hall and Roger two brothers who are wandering the world finding rare animals for their father John Hunt's animal farm in New York.

The ambience is fairly authentic, comes from the author's travels to 77 countries in early to mid 20th century, may not always be politically correct, but leave that to to the political people, this is a darn good yarn.

Whale adventure is an adventure story that is based in a old-type whaler, a square-rigger (whatever that means) in which whales are hunted without the advantages of modern weaponry. fairly elemental battle between the largest creature and the most cruel one.

The adventure includes being stranded on a harpooned whale's back and the necessity of steering it to reach your ship, a nice ship-wrecked sequence without the glamour and also a sojourn on the modern whalers which can process 48 whales every day.

notwithstanding all his animal stuff, price, i think was an animal lover, in most his books animals have a positive role to play, the villians are mostly human in form, and his understanding of animal behaviour and research is impeccable.

Read this book, with no pre-conceived notions and hopefully this will lead you and your kids into a world of pure reading pleasure, adventure, action, and knowledge gained as a by-product

please read, its a brilliant book!
This is one of many adventures of Hal and Rodger Hunt, they work for thair dad John Hunt on an animal farm where they are sent to many countries to collect live animals, they usualy end up in trouble which adds more excitment to this already brilliant book!

You've Got To Get This Book--It's Great
A month ago I received a gift of the book "Blackjack the Smart Way" with its audio book "Preparing You to Win", and I just want to pass along how great Richard Harvey's system is. (In fact I've just ordered a set to give as a birthday present). The book is easy to read and understand. I like his sensible approach to money and bet management. Also, unlike other books on blackjack it has a lot of illustrations that make things very clear. Now I'm winning consistently; before, I had trouble putting together a winning streak. I'd win one day and lose on another. It's much more fun now that I know what I'm doing. The audio book is a good way of reviewing in your spare time what you read. In addition, it talks about the "Circle of 13", Harvey's own invention, which really helped me understand the math behind the game.I have already used it to win some hands that I might otherwise have lost.I really surprised a dealer a couple of times by making unorthodox moves based on the "Circle of 13". When I won, he replied how lucky I had been, but I knew it wasn't luck.

many thanks to ms. price and to God for inspiring this documentation of her story that has so inspired me. we are all drawn to real struggles, real transformation, and real power. God is this power. God is real. this book made me irrevocably aware that the God of the universe cares about the smallest details of our lives and wants to pour out his unfathomable goodness, in tangible and intangible ways, on hearts that are surrendered to his care.
