South Sea Adventure
A must read for all teenagers and even adults. Gives a perspective of life, adventure and information, interwoven with intriguing plots and excitement !

excellent
I am 45 years old and read all of Willard Price's books when I was in junior high. I was caught up in each and every one of them! How I helped the boys struggle through each adventure! When my son was in his early teen years, I purchased all of the Price books that I could find for him. I am so excited that Amazon.com can find some of the books for me that I couldn't find years ago!! These books should be mandatory reading for all junior high students - male or (like me) female.

Great for 9-12 year olds
These Willard Price books are addicting to kids in my class...particularly boys. They read one after another until they've read them all. So glad I found a place to order them.

Dr. Mom: A Guide to Baby and Child Care

Marianne Neifert, M.D. (or Dr. Mom)--award-winning pediatrician, professor of pediatrics, and mother of five-- delivers a comprehensive childcare guide for contemporary parents. "This is the book that I wish I had when my first baby was born in 1968," she writes in the introduction. "My mother was 5,000 miles away, and my sailor husband, who had been overseas for the last six months of my pregnancy, returned home just a week before our baby's birth."

Neifert concisely and amiably covers the important parenting issues, from family planning through age five in chapters such as "Your Amazing Newborn," "Toilet Learning," "Understanding Common Behaviors," "Care of Your Sick Child," "Nonsexist Child Rearing," and "Working Strategies for Working Parents." Controversial issues such as whether to go the traditional hospital route, what kind of diapers to use, whether to use pacifiers, and whether to allow your child to sleep with you are discussed thoroughly in relaxed, matter-of-fact ways. Whether you're a first-time parent looking for answers to basic baby questions or a repeat parent preparing your child for the arrival of a new sibling, Dr. Mom will prove to be an indispensable guide.

Came to buy our second copy - the first one wore out
Our original copy of Dr. Mom has split into two pieces. It has lost its cover and backing, and it is missing several pages. We have used this book like a bible for eight years raising our first three boys. We are having a new baby now, and we need a new copy. I seriously cannot think of any book that we have used and relied on so much. By the way, it blows all the others like it away.

Excellent Book!
I bought this book when I had my first child. It has provided me with alot of helpful information, especially at night or on the weekend when you're not sure whether or not to call the doctor. I have worn my original copy out and am about to buy a new one. Many thanks to Dr. Neifert!

It's a book every parent should have to turn to for answers.
I recieved this book when I had my first child and any time we have had a question or problem with health or accidents this is the first thing I turn to when in doubt. With the diffinitions of illnesses and disorders in the book you can go directly to the symptons and treatment and further prevention listed in the back of the book. It goes step by step with the new parent from the delivery of the baby, brest feeding and circucision with illustrations to name a few. The first months of a baby's life to starting them potty training and discipiline. Dosages of medication. Understanding there behaviors.

These are only a very small portion of the content in this book. We have owned a copy for eight years that is worn out literally. We are now ordering a copy for a family member and a new copy for ourselves.

The only regret is that we have not located a hard cover version of this book.

Tom writes it as it was. No holds barred. I had many an experience of the supposedly allies(the arvn) running and leaving the Americans to fight alone. To all the helicopter pilots I take my hat off.If it hadn't been for them many more of our young men would have died over there. Roadrunner6 out

I was there and Tom tells it like it was.
One of the battles will forever be a part of me. I was there and flew a huey into Laos many times. This book is most accurate! Black Widow 25

Written from the heart , factual and detailed. Well written.
Tom Marshall has written about his experiences as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam with close attention to detail. His thoughts and feelings are very real about his fallen comrades. This book is an awesome tribute to them and their families. As a Vietnam Veteran, he has professionally told his story, and their stories need to be told and read. They are our best resource to the factual history of the VN war. Thank you Tom Marshall.

My Book Review On Diving Adventure
Diving Adventure is about two brothers Hal and Roger who collect animals for there father's animal farm on Long Island, NY. In this exiting book Hal and Roger explore the depths of the sea. They visit Undersea City. They deal with a Mako Shark, collect poisonis underwater animals, find a creature that has never been discovered and lot's of other cool stuff.

An excellent adventure book by Willard Price
Diving adventure is an excellent book by Willard Price about two boys, Roger 14 and Hal 19, who go diving in Undersea City 200 feet below the Great Barrier Reef off Australia. Here they explore sea life and find a sunken ship filled with gold - but there is a murderer on the loose who will stop at nothing to get the treasure. Hal and Roger also take a bathyscope down to the Challenger Depth in Mariners Trench, the deepest point in the world, where they encounter marine life never before seen.

This is one of the 14 books in the Adventure series by Willard Price.

30 years later!
I read all of the Willard Price books back in the sixties and had my children read them through the nineties. We still talk about these books though they are off to college. A GREAT way to get even a non-reader interested in books through well written adventures.

Frontier Emerging Equity Markets Securities Price Behavior and Valuation

Foremost Authority
Dr. Kratz is certainly the foremost authority on this subject. His command of the intricacies of developing markets in Eastern Europe is exceptional. His understanding led the Deutsche European Equity Fund to its 5 star number 1 rank among stock funds in its category. One would be well-advised to listen to his insights into these exciting and critical markets.

Good book
I read Dr Kratz's expose of frontier emerging markets. A very good book. He masters this asset class and the details which make a good and savvy investor in frontier markets. It is by far one of the most interesting fields of international investing, and I am sure this book is just the beginning of many more to follow on the field - it's a primer. I recommend the book to students and practitioners of finance and investments. Dr Kratz strikes a healthy balance between academic thinking and practial experience and application.

Finally someone who understands frontier markets
Dr. Kratz's new book on frontier markets is essential to the understanding of this new genre within the equity asset class. It offers a unique journey through the creation of a young emerging equity market and supports conclusions with strong empirical analysis. It supports the notion that valuation in "frontier markets" is more an art than a science, but in order to truly understand such markets one has to be open-minded and a keen observer of what Kratz calls the philology of the frontier market valuation debate. This is new, and sure to fuel the debate on the subject of asset pricing in an environment with little objective and hard data to come by.

Still great for the next generation
I read all Willard Price's books as a kid and now am buying them for my 10 year old son. Lion Adventure is an engrossing book that allows a child to glimpse another lifestyle. The author's love of animals and knowledge of african wildlife shines through. I particularly loved the reference to the offspring of Elsa. This is the kind of book that encourages a lifetime love of nature and our precious animal resources. The edge of the seat pace keeps the kids enthralled and the characters of Hal and Roger are still cool guys. My son was determined to sink himself into his book and emerged just wanting more.

Great book. Couldn't be better!!
About man eating lions! Hal and Roger have to kill, only, the man eating lions!!

A superb, action packed adventure book
The main characters in this book are Hal and Roger Hunt. They are the sons of Mr.Hunt who takes animals alive from all over the world to keep in their zoo, and are on an exciting adventure to capture a man-eating lion. This lion has attacked many people in the past. The Hunts have already killed a female man-eating lioness who was just about to feed her two cubs the meat. Roger decided to keep the two cubs as pets and have to feed them milk every day. They go on exciting adventures and capture many animals.

I think that Cannibal Adventure is Willard Price's best book so far. I have read most of his stories and some others but this book stands above the rest.Willard Price has a good imagination, putting Hal and Roger into lots of adventures with animals. I have only one thing to say. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both educational and entertaining
I read and collected all 13 titles of Willard Price's Adventure series when I was a pre-teen. I am 34 now and Hal & Roger, the two heroes in his books, still remain among by dearest friends.

St. Simon's Island: A Memoir
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this wonderful lady's memoir. I have been reading her books for years and lost track of her for a while. I read the book she wrote to her readers and it was copyrighted in 1992. What I'm wondering - what is her very latest book? Doing a calculation, I think she must be in her mid-80's and I wonder if she and Joyce are still part of the famous Islanders on our favorite vacation spot, St. Simon's?. Thank you.

romantic without being dirty, spiritual,intriguing,fascinati
Eugenia Price is a very spiritual writer with a lotof love to go around.I've read everything I can get by her and even went to her island about 4 years ago and toured around the island right down to the cemeteries where some of the characters were buried.A very fascinating book, as are all her books.

I couldn't put it down.
This book was captivating. The characters were well defined, the descriptions were vivid, the plotline was rivoting. I was completely swept away with Anne and John's love story and with Anne's love of her homeland and family. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
