Maintenance

This was the first book I purchased befor I got my PTS, and I'm very glad I did. It is THE MOST informative one I've found yet, as there is not a lot of information out there on this species. We have been keeping PTS now for 7 years, and have had success with breeding as well. Thanks to the information in this book, our skinks are very healthy and happy critters. I would strongly suggest purchasing this book to anybody interested in PTS.

excelant book full of all the information i needed to receive a 98% on my test. With ouot the book I defenitly would have bombed out. there are questions on the test that I never would have thought I would need to know...

This book not only provides the nitty gritty of keeping the porch on an old house from falling apart, it gives the history of porches, details about the lifestyles lived on porches in the 19th and 20th centuries, and lots of photos of porches. Look here for the historically appropriate railings for an early Victorian porch, or the furniture to put on your turn-of the century porch. Amusing stories of the famous, views of hotels noted for their porches; serving tea on the porch - this book isn't just a how-to, it's a why-was-it and why-keep-it that will add to your knowlege of the history of houses.

This material is the basis of the API 510 Authorized pressure vessel inspector program. It provides detailed information on corrosion and deterioration mechanisms as well as methods of identifying them. It also includes repair and alteration procedures such as temper bead welding, and the use of local postweld heat treatment and preheat as alternatives to full circumferential heat treatment for weld repairs. It is an excellent resource for corrosion and maintenance engineers responsible for pressure vessels.

The book has been a great help in troubleshooting printer problems and questions. Recommended to system admin!

Unlike many other text books on this subject, Mr. Davis' text is written in clear English with no pretentions. It is packed with practical advice and examples and will be of use to more than just maintenance professionals:the message od reducing the six big losses is applicable to all areas of manufacturing.

Excellent photograhpy, thorough research of the historical aspects of these great airplanes, and a willingness by Mr. Robson to get to know the people who fly and maintain these beauties. Mr. Robson is an excellent author, and he definitely knows his subject matter. Great reading!

The labs in this book are really helpful. Not like a dry exam prep book -- you learn by doing. The real-world examples are realistic, stuff that you'll find on the job. Its a great test prep!

I recently purchased a 1988 Rangie and got this excellent book to learn about the car. Although I am a mechanic of last resort, I wanted to know something about how to keep the car in the best condition. This book exceeded my expectations. The instructions are most thorough. It has loads of B/W pictures on every technique. It covers many kits that are available to restore these venerable vehicles. A must-have reference for do-it-yourselfers. As a bonus, you'll discover what part the British mean when they refer to the "bonnet." - Cheerio!
