This book is written sot that it is easily understood and explains many things that the insurnace company will never tell you. This book is designed as a tool to get what you deserve from your insurance company. There are many things that are not written in company policys that the insurance company does not want you to know. This book assists you in finding out what this information is and how it affects you. I would recommend this book to anyone who has ever been denied payment from or have ever been screwed by your insurance company. (Which is probably everyone in the nation.)

This book is, without a doubt, the most comprehensive and authoritative guide to all the important issues involved in parking today. There is no other publication for parking structures in the markert place today that comes in a close secom If you think the design of parking structures is simple and straightforward -- think again! Only those who have never designed a parking structure (or did a mediocre, botched job of one) would think that it's easy. Don't kid yourself. The issues are numerous and difficult in all areas: architectural, structural, maintenance, restoration and functional. The book delves in depth in many of these areas. The true value of the book lies in its ability to prepare you to ask intellegent questions. You will be in position to participate in the planning process of a new parking structure and you will understand criteria that go into design decision making. Reading this book will NOT make you an expert. Only years of practical experience will do that for you. Architects, engineers and various other kinds of consultants who "dabble" in parking structures are RANK AMATURES and should be avoided by anyone considering professional services for parking structures.

This Book explains everything you need to know about upgrading, making small repairs, and troubleshooting. I found it very useful all around and keep it on hand like a bible. My technicians find it very resourceful. Very helpful in business as well.

This book is well worth the money, since it not only told me more about my BIOS, it did a more thorough job of explaining some of the fundamentals of hardware for me than did some of my A+ certification books, as well as the half-dozen tomes on "Upgrading and Repairing" of various ilk. Introducing some of the finer points, going over things for those with older PC's, as well as the more recent technological improvements, this book is worth twice the price, but don't tell the publisher and get it at a bargain price. The BIOS is not as complicated a creature as it at first appears to be, and this book will help anyone, from novice to an upper/intermediate user, fix common problems, as well as understand the hardware in their computer better than they would have thought possible, in plain language.

This book is really complete and detailed and I have found it much easier to read than a lot of the other big thick books. The writing is better, and it's less boring. It also has lots of exercises and practice tests. I got this book for a class I was taking, but really it would work just as well for self-study too. Overall it is one of the best A+ books I have seen, and I have a lot of them.

This book really explains things well. It goes through the whole car, system / part by system / part, explains what can go wrong, what repairs are useful, which aren't, common mistakes and ripoffs, etc. I'm learning a great deal about how cars work as I read. Really superb. Looks like current edition is 1993 and I don't see a newer one, but the info still seems very solid and useful. I'm currently reading a copy out of my local library and will probably buy one. This book should be reissued and aggressively marketed, in my opinion.

As a reference on the specific subject of perfomance and stability of aircraft, this volume has neatly reached its purposes. The book is well structured and easy to read (the author's hope of a novel-like read is almost achieved, but sorry chaps, no happy ending, we have still to pass examinations), despite the maths being quite advanced. In fact equations are increasingly difficult, necessitating a good background in calculus, differential equations, vector & tensor analysis. Nevertheless, gradual and acceptable complications are progressively arranged, since each passage is clearly explained as well as the approximations and terms elision. Worked examples are very consistent and opportunely integrated in the text. They help solving some pratical problems; but above all they are efficaciously used to show the dimensions of physical phenomena (good illustrations as well). In the end , its exhaustive content provides a good picture of all characteristics of perfomance and stability requirements in aircraft design. So it is recommended for engineering students and industry professionals alike, but it is a little bit complicate as a reference source for professional flying schools or for average commercial pilot.

This is an extensive and engaging review of the history of European Pilotage under sail and oar. I am a third generation seaman, a pilot and a student of maritime history. This is a first class retrospect in every regard. Any sailor or student of maritime history will love this book. As a bonus, the photographs and reproductions are rare and of museum quality.
