i wanted to learn more about the harley davidson bikes and i think i was able to clarify most of my questions . i would like to purchase a bike but my problem is that it would take along time to arrive in the philippines and it would be to expensive .i am one hell of an admirer of this machine . in the manner of informing the readers i believe that the book has made a statment on what the bikes are really all about . The writting was good and the pictures were so great i loved the shots , it was so clear .

Doesn't matter what kind of car you have - you should buy one....

This book is excellently written To be an invaluable to to anyone interested in rebuilding a General Motors automatic transmission. It gives a good theoretical base to start from, describes the needed tools, and give excellent step by step instructions.

The only negative thing that I can say about this manual is that it only covers four models. Covered are the TH 200-4R, TH 700-R4 TH 350,and the TH 400. Also, only the mechanical versions of the four speed transmissions are covered.

Since these are probably the most common models, these limitations don't really decrease the value of this book. Definatly a must have addition to any true Motor Head's book collection.

As a new (used) Jaguar owner I was concerned about being taken advantage of, or being at the mercy of auto mechanics. This book allows me to review the problem first and places me in a position to explain the problem to the repair shop in terms they understand. I have aso been able to make minor repairs myself by following the instructions in the book. I carry this book in my car and refer to it often. I know it has saved me $100's in repair bills. No Jag owner should be without it!

This book is a very interesting review of all details about Kawasaki ZX600 series.

This book is quite nice, especially for ZX900 and ZX1000 owner. There are lots of useful "Caution", "Info" and "Warning" in each pages and it's quite thick!!

At the moment I am restoring a 1977 Mk2 escort, that is why I bought this book. It has some excellent background material on the Escorts and Cortinas, along with lots of technical specs and information. Most importantly for me however was the very descriptive way in which it worked through even the smallest repairs. Covers everything form engines to bodywork to interior trim. The only problem I would have is that it is a little dated and some photos are not great quality. Overall though, a really good buy.

As a journalist, not a health service provider, Mr. Anders brings credibility to his examination of our current health care system. In this broad review of health care, Mr. Anders points out that the initial goal of managed care was to secure high quality, affordable, efficient health care by making sure patients received the right treatment by the right provider at the right time. He credits HMO's with redirecting medical priorities to preventive care away from costly, late-stage care. Mr. Anders discusses how the well-intended but inappropriate application of traditional business practices accidently created powerful loopholes and incentives for abuse, in part, because consumers and purchasers were naive about the great potential for unethical profiteering by managed care. The organization of the book makes the complicated issues in health care more understandable. Complex issues are discussed in separate chapters organized by topic areas such as emergency care, medicare and mental health care. Mr. Anders combines factual technical information with evocative personal testimonies from patients, providers, managed care executives and others. Mr. Anders' bottom line is that truly sick, vulnerable or atypical patients are poorly served by for-profit managed care. While Mr. Anders mainly focuses on the dark side of managed care, a great strength of the book is that he does not leave the reader feeling hopelesss or overwhelmed. In his final two chapters, he addresses quality and gives specific suggestions for building a balanced, better system. This easy read is an indispensible resource for those interested in promoting a health care system characterized by compassion, competence, and cost-effectiveness.
