Maintenance

When I first got this book, I was amazed at all the information in it. It was very helpful to me. I expected something worst, but it is really good. It has lots of pictures and details in it. The author takes you from the beggining of the computer to the end. If you need details and pictures to help you understand what is going on, this is the book. Experienced or not, this is helpfull for all. Everyone should use this book if they want to get their A+ certification with out any confusion of questions.

As all of the other oral exam guides have done - this book prepared me for the checkride and I passed w/flying colors.

If you have chainsaw, or saws, in need of repair; this book delivers the tech specs that others do not. It's not for the casual do it yourselfer however, you need to have some kind of repair knowledge to make sense out of this one. But even for the casual fixer-upper, it deleivers a wealth of knowledge.
It does a very good job of giving the technician little gems about the specific manner a machine is put together and how to take it apart. It's particularly great for older saws- but bear in mind it considers my '86 Homelite an 'antique'.
If you got a chainsaw and usually fix it yourself, this one's for you. The book covers 28 different chainsaw manufacturers and countless model#'s. Filled with exploded views of internal components and chasis attatchements, it's got just about everything a techniclly inclined individual could want.

Hayne's Automotive books are the best. Very informative. Everything is explained plainly and thoroughly. The pictures are extremely well done and very helpful as well. I highly recommend this, and all auto manuals by Hayne's

This is all a Camaro owner will ever need for simple to even somewhat advanced maintenance and repair instructions for their car. From engine overhaul to routine maintenance schedules and procedures to removal and installation of the engine and transmission, with many pictures and illustrations including several exploded views and complete wiring diagrams, this is an invaluable guide. This is best for someone who is handy with and has ready access to standard shop tools, and enjoys "do-it-yourself" work, although instructions are clear enough to accomodate almost anyone with the recommended equipment (a full list of which is included).

Although the Chevrolet 9C1 Caprice is about as durable and long lasting as a car can be something will break sooner or later. One can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars by doing what repairs he can without taking the car to a shop. This manual will help anyone make such repairs. Even if you do not repair your own car it will help you to better comprehend and diagnose any problems you may encounter. That will save you money by knowing what is wrong before being deceived by a dishonest repair shop. For those that do repair their own vehicles this book explains in great detail and understandable terminology what to do and how to do it. The Haynes manual is much easier to read and understand than the Chiltons books. The only drawback the Caprice manual is that it does not go into complete detail on the differences between the civilian Caprices and the 9C1 Police package Caprice. That aside it is well worth the cost. I have saved well over $5000 in repair cost over the 350,000 miles I have traveled with this book in my library.

i found this book to be very comprhensive

This is an excellent manual especially if you are a beginner and no little or nothing about cars. I know nothing about automotive repair but found the book easy to understand and VERY straightforward. My metro has 360,000 miles and I am the original owner. I usually pay people to work on the car but because of it's high mileage now I would be better off fixing it myself. It's just not worth sinking anymore money than I have to in it. The extensive number of photos in the book are great and helpful. The only fault I find in this book is the cheap paper it's printed on but for this price I really should not complain.

I have many automotive books and this is one of my best. It goes over almost every part of my chevy in great detail. The book covers 2 and 4 wheel drive in great accuracy. I would highly reccomend this book to a 1967-present GM truck owner.

these chilton books are great if you are rebuildin your engine or even if you are just needing assistance fixing your vehicle.They have pretty much everything even picture diagrams. ide suggest this book if you are doing a weekend project or even a long term overhaul
