Wow. I really enjoyed this book... very informative, a great read for anyone interested in the subject!

If you are interested in the hottest custom bikes around (1993 and before), this book showcases the top Harley customs and their builders. The book gives a builder profile (bio) & then discusses their bikes and how they began building, in detail. Bikes styles range from outrageous to classy. All photos are in color and many are full page or double page spreads. Each chapter in the book highlights a well-respected custom bike builder. These men are truly artists in their fields, bridging mechanical know-how with aesthetic artistry. These are not just stock bikes with a few add-on, after market accessories! Bike artists include Donnie Smith, Al Reichenbach, Arlen & Cory Ness, Dave Perewitz, Bob Bauder & Pete Chapouris, and Don Hotop.

This book provides the reader with factory paint codes and descriptions for American cars built from 1945-95. It is particularly valuable for car restorers/collectors who are in the process of repainting their car and need to know the correct color. A restored car is always worth more if it is painted in the original factory color.

The voices in AJBM to date [3 issues so far already by fall of 1998] are varied and distinctive. #3 gets off to a bang with Robyn Parnell's "Poetry in Motion," a high speed narrative set up on the page to resemble prose. Rochelle Mass weighs in with "A Jewish foreman and a crew of 4" plus other poems. Patrick Vala-Haynes' "The Henchman" takes as its subject matter and theme, the author's job of putting animals to sleep. _I never thought the death of some animal would be an important moment in my life_. Creative work in AJBM, as the title suggests, tends to focus on our real work to wonderful purpose. CB Follett's "The Day My Uncle Dies" is a poem recreating what funerals are like for children. Thomas Michael McDade's "Openings" is a poem set in a tavern about how to quote a house painting job. "Buddha's Hot" by Ian Lamberton really takes my cake. "Buddha's hot./ He's in self-help books. He's in films./ He's so hot, Shawn Colvin/ sent her boyfriend packing with the words:/ 'go listen to Buddha.'/ He's hot."

I bought this book as a gift, but ended up keeping it for myself. It goes through steps to define what types of lighting are best for plants, and what exactly lighting is (some shade is a lot more light than I thought)

I would recommend this book for any beginner!

I enjoyed reading this book as it goes into quite a lot of depth. I was a little disappointed in the technical accuracy; I found some of the information on camshafts and transmission gearing to be a little inaccurate. Although, I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the sport of Top Fuel drag racing, or anyone interested in reading about the most awesome display of power and torque in the world.

The classic manual for owners and buyers of one-speed, three-speed, and ten speed bikes. Immensely readable and clearly illustrated, it guides the do it yourselfer in finding the problem and fixing it. Covers tools needed, brakes, handlebars, stem, headset, powertrain, wheels, seat, fork and frames.
